Helpful product
I find this product helpful for more high strung horses. It doesn’t trank them, but helps them have a longer fuse before they blow which I helpful in preventing that blow up. I feed 3 horses with it and am glad to have the larger size. Wish they would package it in a recyclable bag instead of the tub
Love it, but I receied a letter saying they would no longer be available??
I have two mares. Divine Equine takes the edge off. I have started both of them. It calms them and helps them concentrate. They don’t act drugged or lethargic.

I was very disappointed in this product
I have 11 horses that I used this product on and it did not seem to make a difference in any of them. I have used this product for 2 weeks thinking that it just needed time to take effect. WRONG. I do not recommend that you waste your money.
Favorite calmative
I began using this as I returned my15-year-old horse to work following surgery, and I liked her temperament so much, I've kept buying it. She was always sweet but bossy. She could definitely get opinionated under saddle, and she's a huge, powerful horse, so it wasn't fun when she did. Now, she's the most happy-go-lucky horse in the barn, and rides have become playtime to her. She's eager to learn and doesn't get so frustrated. She's easily the barn favorite out of 25 horses. My only problem now is preventing her weight gain when the staff want to stuff her with treats! She gobbles this FIRST of all her supplements because it looks and tastes like grain pellets. I've never found another calmative that could beat this one for price per serving, either. I don't know if it would work for hard-core problems like trailering, but I think it would help horses calmly focus to prevent problems or help with careful retraining.
Love this product
This product takes the edge off my by polar horse so he can conpete with consistency. Love this product.
I Love this product!
I have a wild born Mustang Mare, and before I found this product (formerly known as Calm and cool) I just did not know what I was going to do, I always feed my Mustang a low to no sugar diet, and try to keep her as mellow as possible, But during her cycle, a new situation, a ride in the trailer, I may as well have been asking her to meet a Dragon! But once I added Divine Equine as well as Mare magic it is like I own a completely different girl! I give it to her daily in her regular grain she loves the taste and eats it right up, I love that the ingredients are natural and I am not drugging her to get a calm result, It is nature working with nature! I use 1/2 dose for daily usage, and when we have some thing coming up that may be extra stressful I give her the full rcomended dose for a few days prior and it works great
Did absolutely nothing
I had my horse on this product for 6 months, and I did not notice even the slightest change in his behavior. Even my barn manager said that this supplement seemed to be doing no good! Do not recommend.
Seems to be working for my gelding!
I have been feeding this calming supplement for about three weeks and it seems to be working. My half-Arabian gelding was getting very anxious and spooky this spring and would crow hop and buck when we'd ride. I decided to try this supplement, but was very skeptical. The first thing I noticed is that he was lying down and sleeping more often, before, I rarely saw him lying down. It has not made him lazy when riding, he is just calmer and not spooky. He has not been crow hopping or bucking. This is the only change I have made to his diet and routine. It is so nice to find a product that actually works!
It is working to take the edge off.
I started feeding to my gelding after receiving. Gelding was not happy with noise from cycles on a track in the distance. I am feeding it am and pm whether there is cycles running on track or not. Last Sunday when the cycles ran again he was nerves but not running fence like week before. That day he was a wreck, sweating, shaking, not eating, drinking or urinating. Vet and me pick up Ace to calm him down. This time he walked back and forth, and would look, eat some, drink, and do his stuff. So it is working. I am hoping it will help him get used to the cycles so I do not have to use it. My other horse is fine about the noise.
best product
My mares are half-Arabian and get excited easily. This product is the best one for keeping them on an even keel. They even like the taste!
Will never go without it
I noticed a huge difference in all three of my horses once I started using the Calm and Cool pellets. I had stopped them for a bit to see if the horses actually needed the Calm and Cools still, but after a few days I really noticed that their anxiety and "edginess" definitely increased. Got them back on the Calm and Cools and will keep it as a part of their supplements. This is also the best price I've found for them. Definitely recommend.
Great Calmer
Use it on my stud and it keeps him mellow and easy to handle.
Works great
I bought this to see if it would help my high strung mare be more focused and calm when I ride her . It works great. I quit giving it to her and there was a definite difference. I know not all siupliments work for all horses. I thought I would start with most cost effective one first with the least additives. I am happy with the way this works for my mare. I have been using it for over a year with the same good results. Also my mare is very picky about eating things and she will eat this out of my hand.
Great for calming and relaxing the horse!
I have an Appendix gelding that is very hyper. I have tried many many calming supplements and prescription products for calming and this product by far works the best!! I can tell a huge difference if I run out. I feed it daily.
Good price!!
Haven't started to use it yet, but will be testing it out on my untrained horse, so that i can see how it does with him before i choose how it will + when it is used..
My vet says calming agents do not work he is wrong
I rescued a paint-mustang very sick scared and starved.Could not get close to him your calm and cool has made it easyfor me to feed him he is still afraid of many peoplebut only time will tell. My neighbor can pet himI had a man come in to try and break him he said he was not a good horse could not be broke and is dangerous I am a new horse ownerthis is my first horse I was told to take him away some place.I see good in him I do not know what abuse he has been threw I don't have the heart to have him put down. I am hoping that the calm and cool will let me make progress with him
AMAZING
Made such a difference at even 1/2 dosage! Great for my TB with anxiety. He eats it alone, and with grain!
Great Stuff!!!
This stuff really works! I noticed a definite change in behavior after the first feeding. The only thing you have to be careful on is if you feed psylllium for sand colic. You can do the regular dose for the sand colic, but only half for the other. Otherwise they get the drippy but. So...cant say enough great things about this stuff. Whatever is in it, works!
We love this!
I barrel race along with a lot of other girls at my ranch. We love feeding this just a few days before the race it makes our mares safer and easier to control at a barrel race. I highly recommend this product to other barrel racers or horses for other fast paced events. It has not effected any of our runs so it won't slow ur horse down!
Works for Jack
My 10 yr old gray gelding, Jack, had a number of issues due to an abusive past. This product, along with a continual dose of gentle desensitizing, worked miracles. He still retains his wonderful personality but without the 'edgy' baggage. A great value for the price and highly recommended.
Life Saver
Works better than could have hoped for- you won't be disappointed - it has made a difficult dominant horse manageable and safe to be around and ride. A very picky eater and have no problem getting her to eat it- it has really made a huge difference between just having a pasture pet or a ridable usable horse.
Amazing!!!
I have a paint mare who was severely abused and then she was ran through the fence in November. She couldn't even eat out of her bucket without spooking! We couldn't touch her without her quivering. Now, she is totally loveable, comes to me for carrots and loves affection. We even rode her with absolutely no problems! Calm and Cool saved both our lives, as she is the sweetest, calmest horse that I own! I wouldn't trade her for the world! This stuff works great and she weighs about 1100 lbs. The dosing is correct for her and it doesn't make her dopey or drugged looking or feeling at all! Don't wait, get it now!
Amazed!
We have been using Calm and Cool on my wife's 8 y/o Apendix QH mare, who is a hot horse, for 3 weeks now and wow, what a difference. Before using this, we would have to consistantly ride her, or work her, everyday just to keep her from spooking on the trail. If we let her rest for 2 days without being ridden or worked, she would act nervous on the trail and spook at her own stumble or a butterfly coming out of a bush(seriously). After she would spook, it would take about 5 mins for her nerves to calm down to where she was ok, and then she would spook again. We have been riding the same trails with this horse for 4 years now, so she knows the area. Its been 3 weeks now on calm and cool and our mare had been sitting in her stall for 2 of those weeks without being ridden, and only worked a handful of times. We took her out the other day and WOW! she didnt spook once which is unheard of with this mare. She was crusing down the trail as if she was going on day 4 in a row of riding. This is a great product. I'd recommend it to anyone with a hot horse who is skidish, spooky or nervous at times. It also does not make our mare lethargic in anyway, just more relaxed and focused on crusing down the trails. 5 Stars!!
Great!
I have a horse on stall rest for a foot injury and give him 2 scoops of this and he has been very calm allowing the injury to heal. GREAT!!
Don't notice any difference
I use this on my western pleasure show gelding and so far I haven't noticed any difference. He' still nervous and doesn't perform any differently.
No more Bucking
Clam and Cool I canÂt say enough about it. I have a horse that is over 21 and when he was young 4years young I though when he gets older he will be no problem. Right! Wrong he has just picked up steam like a freight train. When taking him out over the past two months itÂs been a lot of work with him, he never used to buck at least not so much and not so hard. But I gave him his first dose of Calm and Cool this weekend and what a difference it made. All of my Bard Mates could see a 360degree change in him, they were very happy to see me riding my horse with a smile again. And he wasnÂt dopey after taking it IÂd recommend this product to any body.
Works Wonders!!
I noticed a HUGE difference in my mare after using this product. Generally, very high-strung and spooky. She's now calmer than she's ever been, but not dopey. I've tried so many other herbs and different training methods to get her to relax. Nothing really worked until I used this. Just incredible to think that 2 scoops a days could change a horse so much!! Not only is she calmer she's paying more attention to me when I cue her.
works!
I am buying my third bucket now because this stuff really works. Using it on a highstrong and nervous quarter mare (former barrel horse) and it takes the edge off nicely - and I am only feeding one scoop per day, i.e. half the recommended dosage. I REALLY like that it does not make the horse tired and dopey. Tried a product with L-Tryptophan before but I prefer this stuff by far. So does the horse, seems to be tasty so it's easy to feed. Definitely recommend!
AMAZING!!!
This feed saved me the heartbreak of having to sell my big Paint gelding. He is extremely high strung. So much so that we were unable to start any kind of work (already broke to ride) and was in desperate need of groundwork. Within 2 days I saw a dramatic improvement... so much so that he's now become the goof ball of the barn... will even let us spray him with water without him spooking with everything. It's a great product and highly recommend it.
not what i needed
Trying to find something to take the edge off my mare and this was not it. She still gets aggiated.
O.K.
helped my pony a little bit tried it on my horse and it hyped him up. its worth a try, try it at home first it may send your horse over the edge
Bought a mare in foal, did not want to be stalled.
Our mare we bought in foal was very "docile"- until after she foaled in January, then she went crazy having to be in a stall. She is turned out 4 hours a day, but in January in MT. it can be very cold on a new born. She would literally kick the stall walls all night. We give her one scoop at her morning feedings (per directions).About an hour later, she is let out into the nursery area. But the directions (1scoop per feeding)didn't work for all night. We gave her 2 scoops at night no dramatic change. We up the portion to 3 scoops, silent nights. She does not acted drugged, just calm.
didnt change anything
didnt do anything for my horses and ikept them on it for months still no change
calm and cool
Someone gave me a container. I tried in on a colt that was injuring himself by rearing alot.He had all ready needed surgery on his stifle from rearing. The Calm and Cool has taken the edge off him without making his seamed druged.I don't intend to make it a way of life but I feel it is needed to help him heal after his stifle surgery.I intend on using it on any equine I have that needs to settle down after an injury or medical procedure.
Works GREAT! on barrel horses
My horse was getting overly excited at the barrel races, practicing and just riding period. He was green when I bought him and he started doing what some of the other barrel horses were doing at the races, acting like a fool. I did everything possible to help him then I found this Cool and Calm Pellets and WOW! what a change it made. He was running 19's and 20's in his barrels and now he is in 16's and 17's and winning alot. This product is GREAT! it helped me and my horse alot. Thank You!
worked for me!
Bought this for a Paint mare (75% TB) that would get too anxious on the trail. We were almost at a point that we were going to sell her for a calmer horse. Now on Calm and Cool, she actually is a pretty awesome trail horse and stays calm on the trail. She had all the qualities of a great trail horse prior to Calm and Cool, but would get anxious and jig with changes of position on the trail or if another horse took off trotting. Now she stays more relaxed and is getting more calm with each ride. With more and more experience on the trail, we are eventually planning to take her off of Calm and Cool, hoping by then she gains emotional maturity. Great product!
THIS WORKS WONDERS!
I was at my wits end and running out of money (training, vetting,3 chiropractors) and options on this one gelding of mine~until I put him on this! Now, he is NOT heading to the auction! Training was not enough and I was his third home....bucking, biting, charging, acting stud like, moody, pissy, and sour! But not anymore. I actually like him no:) ~ HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!
WORKS GREAT
Believe me I'm not a person who just jumps into using meds for anything but my Palomino is 11 yrs young and she has a mind of her own it was getting hard tring to handle her then I started using this boy what a change in her today she is loving and calm and I am enjoing my time with her today. IT REALLY WORKS :0))
Calm & Cool
I tried Calm & Cool in both paste and pellet on my TB Mare. It made no changes in her at all. I tried the paste first at shows and trail rides. Then I tried the pellet for 6 months thinking that over a longer time it would have a better effect on her but still there was no change in her excitability.
great product
this is a great product. my horse has huge anxiety problems and we do barrel racing, and before i started using calm and cool my horse would rear up, rufuse to go in the arena, run the arena and he even jumped a 4 1/2 foot gate! we figured it was becoming unsafe and then i started using calm and cool. it doesnt change his personallity or performance, it take the edge off a little and makes us both more comfortable. ive been using it for 5 years and wouldnt trade it in for any other calming solution.
Excellent
I'm new to the horse world and my horse is so stubborn i didn't know what to do with her but I loved her so much I had to try something. This stuff is working wonders with her high strong mind. I've been using this for about year and ran out of it and she was getting nasty again. I will keep her on this because she is like two different horses Thanks for so many good reports because it made my horse so much calmer. I Love State Line Tack. Thanks for being so resonable and just being there for our needs.:o)
Excellent
My mare is very witchy/pushy during her cycle. Altho it is not advertised for moody mares, it has worked wonders for mine during her cycle. It never affects her energy levels nor does it make her stupid. It's economical and does the job!
Did not see results
I tried this supplement for 2 Thoroughbreds: 1 on stall rest that I wanted to take the edge off, and one that is anxious that I also wanted to calm. They were on it for a month and I saw no change. The product is very palatable and they'd eat it from my hand, so if it is easy to administer.
Calm and Cool
Incredible product, highly recommended. I have a super sensitive TB gelding I rescued. After trying every calming supplement I could get my hands on, I found Calm and Cool. It took the edge off without making dopey like the other supplements I tried. I finally had a horse I could have fun on. I can up the dose if I know he'll need more (like when he's on stall rest or will have to get on a trailer) or keep him on a regular dose for daily work. It's the only calming supplement I use or recommend.
Calm & Cool
I was given a bucket of this, didn't believe it would do anything but figured it wouldn't hurt. What a difference this made in my normally high strung Tb, he will walk quietly front, middle or back of the pack now and not fight to get up front when we move out a bit. Also not as bothered by flies as usual.
I was a little wary of using such a product
but it has done wonders for my testy "walker" stallion.I would recommend this product!

BEST ANSWER: I have been using Calm and Cool for several years for my Standardbred mare. She has wonderful manners and is fun to ride but is extremely observant and notices EVERYTHING, and assume that anything new and different is going to kill her. She has a "Duck & Spin" that would do credit to a reining horse, and I have quite a few "Frequent Flyer" miles on her. The Calm and Cool has helped, but this season I am also trying a calming supplement that also has magnesium in it, which Calm & Cool does not have. Magnesium is supposed to be good for nervous horses. No opinion yet as I've been only using it for a couple of days. I have never dealt with a fence walker or weaver or anything like that. A friend of mine has a horse like that and she would drive me nuts.

Honestly I don't know. It takes the " edge" of my super sensitive OTTB. I don't know if it would completely stop fence walking. I can say it just mellows my boy out so he isn't as reactive or high strung. He is a cribber and it hasn't changed that but he never was a fence walker. It might help her relax and settle so may be worth trying. Sorry I can't answer for sure.
I did buy it for my horse,,,, and used it for awhile .. but I do not use it now…. I also go see and worked with him everyday…even if it is to say Hi…(I board him)… I will soon have him for 3 years.. and he has improved so much…… sorry I do not know if the stuff will help you with your horses nervousness …… good luck...
You'd be surprised how nervous a horse can be simply from being low on sodium. Did blood work on this mare and found she was pretty deficient, We simply gave her some salt slurries and added salt to her grain and it was like a different horse:-)
My horses aren't fence walkers so I'm not sure it would work for that. I bought it to see if it would help my mare when she is in season and it did calm her down.

can this product be used with tranquilizers?
BEST ANSWER: We would have to recommend that you check with your veterinarian whether this product could be used with tranquilizers.

I feed my horse oralX daily and have had teeth done which required sedation , seemed to be just fine no complications.
I have no idea, as I don't use tranquilizers . I'd ask my vet if there are any possible drug interactions.
