used at the beginning of rodeo season on the seasoned barrel horse who gets too excited and fired up to go to make a perfect run, seems to take the edge off without compromising skills.

I have a 15 yr old student rider on my 11 year old show gelding-- he is very good at home **quiet and she even rides him no saddle and no bridle at times ** but he gets excited at shows --not horrible and at last show he was in big Western class and won 4 of them but that was an indoor arena-- she is going to 4-H with him in about 3+ weeks and we go every week to the 4-H ring and practice-- he is a bit high flying in that ring *** but it is in the middle of a Horse race track so they are sometimes working horses when we are working-- he is not horrible but he is a bit worried about the standard bred horses pulling the race carts. Just wondered if this might be something to calm him -- the girl is in her 2nd year of showing him and last year at the 4-H show she entered 3 classes and won all 3 --so you can tell we do not have a really bad horse but I thought I might be able to calm him before a show and that would calm the girl-- I think she might be some of his problem away from home I have taught her breathing exercises but not sure she stays calm either and that would make the horse more worried if she is going to stiffen up when away from home?
