These are great for young riders to help relax and stay out of the horses mouth

Very pretty and sturdy
The colors are even more vibrant than in the photos, and these are of great quality. I ordered three and they are worth their weight in gold thus far.

Cheap but good quality reins!
Easy to switch and change between riders, you can easily add knots to shorten them, a multitude of colors make matching tack a breeze, and they last forever. I've had several sets for 5 years now and we give lessons as well as compete.

Multi purpose
I have now accumulated two of these reins and the colors are phenomenal. The price is amazing and great for the durability of the reins. The knots are in the perfect place and the reins overall are a great length, however I prefer a shorter rein so I may add a few more knots. Great for training, barrels, poles, and other fast pace western riding. My favorite feature is the material of the rein because it is like holding a thin rope, durable but thin, allowing me to switch reins easily and grab something such as a pole with the same hand.

WOW I love these reins!!
Ok, so I got both my husband and I a pair of these reins and they are fabulous. Well placed knots for gripping when the horse is acting hot and when he/she is not. Comfortable, durable and easy to ride in! These are the best hidden value!

good rein, though still too long
Needed a royal-blue barrel rein to match my son's non-bling gaming motif. This is a good basic durable rein that gave us the color choice needed. It was still WAY TOO LONG at 8ft, but I was able to add 4 more knots to reduce it down to the 6ft he needed. I was afraid to cut the pre-tied knots at the clips because they are so solid. He complained a bit that it was rough in his hands during his first practice, but we saw an immediate improvement next day when he had so much more control and took 3 blue ribbons in a row in events where they'd previously struggled. I suspect it will continue to soften with use.

They're Fine
First off, they're too short. Even after I untied the ropes they were still WAY too short. I think they're fine, but nothing exceptional.

Nice, practical and good looking!
I have not had a chance to ride with these yet, but they seem very well made and practical. They will be very handy for training as I can change them from one bit to another quickly. I plan to get some in other colors just for fun since the price is right! :)

I generally ride with just a western rope halter and this attaches easily. The knots make it easy to keep a relaxed rein but know spacing if I need to shorten reins in a hurry. The price is right.

With the assumption that one was black and one was lime green. The lime green pair was for my friend's birthday in a week and a half and the black pair is for my own use. My friend and I both ride in speed events.

How bright are the lime and pink reins? Bright colors look best on my bay. so If they're bright, I'll end up buying them.
emily b on Dec 6, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I don't own the pink reins, but the lime reins are about a neon green type color. I would go as far as to say they are about the color of a lime with a little more light to them. Hope that helps. I'm really not sure how to describe it.
Is this a lead rein for horses?
A shopper on Oct 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This is a competition rein for horses. You use it on bridles. I have purple & I love it for my mare. I love that it is easy to put knots in to adjust the length.
i had a someone today at a craft show ask me if i made speed reins. Is this what she was talking about?
jan g on Nov 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have to be honest I never heard of speed reins before. I even googled it before writing this and found nothing. So I'll just tell you what these reins are for, they are training reins. They have knots tied in certain places for proper hand position. They are a training aid for the horse and rider. I love them. I hope that helped.
