I had goats going every were with 3 different chargers, but this one stops them in their tracks! Love that I was able to get a nice powered charger for this price!

what type of battery is recommended ?
A shopper on Apr 13, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I went with a big 850 cold cranking amp battery (had an extra when I replaced the batteries for my truck)
. It holds a charge for quite awhile. It's a beast to haul to the house to charge though.
How do you to hook up the clamps?
A shopper on Apr 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The clamps go to the respective battery terminals. The fencing wire goes to the round knobs on the front of the charger. We also hook up three large solar panels to the deep cycle marine battery that powers this fence. It works great for stallions and large horses.
