Product Summary:

Probios® Probiotic Powder Supplement

Provides live, naturally occurring microorganisms. Useful in newborns, at weaning, during stress, and antibiotic use, to maintain appetite and health. Establishes beneficial intestinal bacteria, and contains probiotic yeast cultures.

Deworming related stress and toxins from dying worms can upset the delicate microbial balance in a horse's digestive tract. Probios® products contain a stabilized source of beneficial bacteria that help to maintain microbial balance during stressful periods. Supplementing Probios® following deworming helps to maintain normal appetite and digestion.

Why did you choose this?
Horse.com Store
I've been using this for years.
LINDA S on May 4, 2017
I use this product for my sheep and equines after worming or oral antibiotics to replenish beneficial bacteria.
AMY L C on Dec 16, 2016
The vet recommended it because my horse is a cross (Kentucky mountain and Icelandic) and the grass is too rich and gives him diarrhea in the spring. The probios and wearing a mussel in spring eliminate the problem.
Barbara K on Mar 5, 2017
I have used this product for 10 years plus, and am happy with the results I see in the manure of my horse. She has had colic surgery so am fussy about the probiotic she gets and know the importance.

How much probios do you feed a mini?
A shopper on Oct 9, 2016
Best Answer: Hi
First of all, I hope the Pro Bios is the miracle for your mini that it has been for mine. She was colicky at least monthly. Now we go for MONTHS between upsets. Good luck!!
I give my mini one scoop ( the scoop included in the Pro Bios container) per day. I have found if you are using the WHITE POWDER that it should be mixed with a small amount of liquid and poured over feed. Otherwise the powder gets left at the bottom of the feed dish. If you have a picky eater, mix with something extra tasty.
I have recently switched to the ProBios GRANULES and no longer have to mix with liquid. Plus it is less expensive.
One more thought. If you live in an area that requires a Sand Clear type product and need to add liquid to the Pro Bios to make sure it gets delivered, be sure to feed the Pro Bios and the Sand Clear product in different feedings - one a.m. and one p.m. Sand Clear type products cannot be moistened!

what is the difference between ProBios supplement and granules?
A shopper on Jul 7, 2016
Best Answer: i have used both. They are the same product as far as ingredients go but the powder sticks to the grain/pellets better. When I used the granules they seemed to sift down to the bottom of the feed bucket and the horses didn't always seem to get it all. If I recall correctly you are supposed to be able to use less of the granules than the powder for the same effect but I ended up having to use about the same amount to get the same results and they didn't seem to go as far as the powder.

What is the difference between Probios Dispersible Powder and Feed Granules?
A shopper on Aug 9, 2015
Best Answer: The "Feed Granules" includes fillers that are designed to make the product taste better. My horses are quite content with just the plain Dispersible Powder. I always mix it in with their other bucket feed. If you feed nothing else in the bucket, the Feed Granules might be what you need. But the cost per unit will be higher because of the fillers.
