Not durable
Had these on my horse for a week and they are already tearing. I like the fleece and mesh design but really disappointed they probably won't last more than a month or two.

Good Product!
Have had a lot of fly boots. These are well shaped around the lower fetlock and pastern area and that is key to staying in place. Works better than stiff reinforcement on the sides that can cause rubs and is only helpful on upper leg and slide down.. They run true to size, I'd say. I got a "horse" size thinking that was the largest. My mistake... but they still fit my large bone Hanovarian, but barely! Ordering next size up. Fleece lining is nice. Velcro is reinforced so I don't see these tearing or breaking easily. Would say... "white" is not the smartest color. They, of course look dingy and grimy after only a few wearings. But for quality and price I am satisfied.

This is a great product
I only use these fly boots. They are durable, comfortable and fit like a glove! They actually have lasted through 2 summers! I won't buy anything else.

these boots work great to keep away the flies
These work great at keeping away the flies but unfortunately they aren't holding up as well as I would have liked. That said, the customer service is great and I promptly received an new pair at no cost after I contacted them to say one of the boots had ripped on the second day. Since I've replaced it, it has so far held up well. Definitely worth it just to keep the determined flies away! My farrier also thought they were great -- kept them from nonstop stomping while having their feet trimmed.

They won't stand up....
Seriously, within a day they had slipped down and on the hind legs barely covered the ankles when they slouched. There are no stiffening agents built in to help them stay up. They were not very tall to begin with and I was VERY disappointed when they didn't make it 24 hours. I have some great products from this manufacturer but will never purchase these again.

Don't Buy Them!
The white color is a horrible choice because they get incredibly dirty after first use! Besides that, within a week, my horse had already ripped one almost completely apart. He also seems to get them off or pushes them enough to make them fall down over his hooves. Which seems crazy because the velco is so strong I can barely rip it apart myself! "Professional" is a poor choide of name brand for these boots. I have already had to go out and buy more from another brand. Shoot I just saw the 30 day guarantee, but think ai've misses my chance.

Great fit & stay up
These are hands down the best fly boots I've ever purchased. My Appendix has very thin thoroughbred legs. These fit him perfectly in height & width & stay secure. They are fitted to the leg, sized for front & back, lined with fleece & actually stay up. I've had them for 3 weeks now & show no signs of wear. Definitely will be my go to fly boots. AND they come in a set of four. Love them.

Had these same wraps for three years and loved them. No rubbing and wash very well. Wouldn't buy anything else for my fly-stomping thoroughbred.

very good fly boots. I do wish they would add an extra extended tab to the velcro, so it's easier to take off/adjust. Something to grab that isn't velcroed down.

By far, my absolute favorite fly boots out there! Great quality/durable. Also, they fit my horse perfectly and are comfortable for him. I also use them with liniment under them and to hold vetwrap, poultice, etc. on overnight.

Love these for paddock turnout and stalling! They get very dirty and gross in muddy conditions though and if your pasture has burs or stickers they will be covered and almost unusable. They surprisingly do not get hot though and work great all summer for mosquitos, gnats, and flies. They also work great in the spring to put on after hosing legs as they wick away moisture very quickly!

I chose these fly boots based on the customer reviews. I purchased the Kensington brand last summer, and they did not hold up well at all. I hope the size works for my horse--I did not see the standard size offered, but I ordered these anyway because of the horrible fly situation at my barn.

a friend has them for her horses and recommended them to me because the flies are causing my horses legs to get all bloody and the constant stamping of her feet is doing damage to her hooves.

I keep buying these fly socks because they work, are comfortable and don't have those plastic stays. Other mesh boots have plastic stays that fall out in a week or two. These have a soft fleece that is gentle on her legs and coronet. Flies can't bite through them. They last through repeated washings.

Is this a set of 4 or 2 fly boots?
A shopper on Jun 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It's a full set of four boots, although there is almost no perceptible difference between which two are the fronts or backs.
What are they made of. Nylon?
Deena M on Aug 3, 2017
BEST ANSWER: they are lined with fleece. The outside is a meshwork nylon material so it can breathe. They work well. This is my second summer and 2 of them have some tearing away of the nylon but minor. I am glad I bought them as the flies are miserable. They could be longer though.
Is this for all 4 legs ?
A shopper on Apr 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is a 4-pack and covers all 4 legs, one for each leg. The quality is not as good as some you pay a lot more for, but probably worth it, due to the reasonable price for a 4-pack. They do become worn easily and might only last the season (or two -- depends on your equine and their activity), but they do keep the flies at bay and you might pay that much in fly spray anyway and have to repeat spraying with frequency and even then, not as effective. That's how I looked at it. Mine were for a 15.3 hh molly mule and she was hard on them but they lasted two seasons anyway. Seemed fair to me. Also, mules often have more difficulty with flies than horses (they do not stomp flies away and legs become bloodied and awfully swollen), and it sure did serve the purpose of keeping flies from biting her legs up so badly. Toward the end, though, the "leggings" were a bit tattered and torn and sagging enough to need replacing. All in all, I felt worth the price I paid.
do theses stay on in mud?
A shopper on May 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No they don't stay on well at all and they are very hot for the horses
