I am having trouble finding a short mohair cinch that is high quality. There are only two on this site: Classic Equine for $71.09 that can be ordered in 26" length and Professionals Choice for $67.72 that comes in 24". However, Classic Equine is described as 31 strands and Professional Choice is 14 strands -- big difference. Can you explain please?

Best Answer: I love my professional choice mohair cinch. I use it on a mammoth donkey that is ridden in all sort of terrain. It does not gall him behind the elbow and has a little stretch so it does not bind him tightly. I have used it for a year now and am very pleased with the way the hardware and mohair hold up under use. It also washes well feeling soft again after washing all the sweat and dirt off. I would not hesitate to buy another one when needed.

Best Answer: Yes there is. The black Professional Choice Logo at the end is the off billet holder.

how do I measure for cinch
?

Best Answer: Step 1: With your horse standing on a level surface and all treats fully digested, pass the tape measure around his body where the girth will rest. Make the two ends meet and pull it snugly. Take a look at the number. This is your horse's heart girth.

Step 2: Use this formula to calculate the horse’s girth size: Heart Girth Measurement divided by 2, then Subtract 3 Example: (70/2) - 3 = 32"

Step 3: You may need to round up as many girths only come in even numbers. This will give you a good estimate for ordering the correct size. You’ll want around 8-10inches between your cinch and saddle.
