It is an all-inclusive wormer and removes certain types of worms that other wormers don't address.
SUSAN T on Aug 14, 2015
Still dealing with worms after a variety of rotational worming programs, I am going to "wipe everyone clean" with this all-category wormer, then get fecals on everybody in a few weeks and see which horses are still shedding what worms, to develop a more target directed worming program.

BEST ANSWER: I'am sure it is safe, but check online. I use this wormer because it is safe for the fly predators.
how do I view my cart?
A shopper on Feb 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: See the little shopping cart icon on the upper right side of the website? Click on it.
Is this safe for mini donkeys?
A shopper on Dec 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Ask your vet. I know Quest has a MUCH MUCH lower margin of safety than other wormers. You would have to know very accurately how much the donkey weighs.
A shopper on Oct 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: That can depend on a number of factors. We have to recommend that you check with your veterinarian, who will be familiar with your minis' entire health picture.
best wormer for spring?
A shopper on Apr 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: SPRING — QUEST® (moxidectin) is an ideal dewormer for spring when encysted small strongyles (strongyles in the larval stage) typically emerge.
what time of year is best to use this?
SUSAN J on Dec 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I use this every January, after we have had a good freeze.
Okay for mules and donkeys?
Nancy K on Jul 2, 2017

Does it treat pinworms?
CHELSEA T on Apr 30, 2017
what worms does it kill?
A shopper on Apr 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: It is used for the treatment and control of large and small strongyles, encysted cyathostomes, ascarids, pinworms, hairworms, large mouth stomach worms, stomach bots and tapeworms. Dose must be accurate for the weight of the horse...please follow the directions carefully. Unlike ivermecting, Moxidecin/praziquantel should never be used at greater dose amount than directed.
What wormer should I rotate with quest?
Sassy on Jan 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Ask your local vet as the answer depends on the resistances found where you live as well as your horses fecal count. However, the main ingredient must not be in the same drug class...(not an -ectin). Ivermectin and monodectin, the drug in Quest, are in the same class.
can dogs use this?
lon w on Aug 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I am neither a vet or vet tech. I wouldn't suggest using this for anything thing but horses or donkeys. I think it could even be dangerous given the size of dog versus horse. Please check with someone qualified first.
can i use this in a dog?
A shopper on Aug 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It's made particularly for equines (horses and ponies). There are other wormers that are made particularly for canines. (dogs). Had a neighbor that gave ivermectin paste horse wormer to his dog....the dog died a few days later. If you like your would be best to get dog wormer! Thanks.
can I give this to a dog?
A shopper on Aug 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This product has been formulated specifically for use in horses and ponies only. This product should not be used in other animal species as severe adverse reactions, including fatalities in dogs, may result.
I have heard that it should not be given to minis and there have been deaths from it.....any truth to the stories? Are miniature horses at risk? Would you give Quest to a mini with EPM?
julia d on Feb 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I have been using this dewormer for years, even on my foals with no problems but I am very aware that it is a strong dewormer and can have adverse reactions if improperly dosed. You should defiantly not use this if its the first time the animal has been wormed, if the animal is not on a regular rotation deworming, or if it has been a long time since that animal has been wormed! This is a strong dewormer and if the animal has a heavy worm load due to lack of or unknown deworming history then what happens is all the worms are killed off at once and you run a major risk of a impaction colic. I would HIGHLY recommend asking your vet if this dewormer is appropriate for a horse with EPM or other heath issue before giving this dewormer. It is a great dewormer but very strong and if you improperly dose the animal or it has heath issues then you run a high risk of having adverse reactions.
Did anybody have the same problems as they did for the regular Quest wormer?
A shopper on Jan 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I did not start using Quest until after the issues with foals. After auditing a seminar about de worming, Quest Plus was recommended twice a year to control tape worms, and incysted strongyles. I use this in the late spring and late fall and have never had any negative responses, and my horses have clean fecal tests each year. I would recommend this product.
