My horse is a little downhill, so I'm looking for an underpad that can lift the front of my saddle a bit. My horses shoulder areas sometimes get a little sore on longer rides. Would a pad like this help in this situation?

BEST ANSWER: This riser pad is more designed to lift the back of the saddle, so on an already downhill built horse where you're searching for relief on the shoulders, I would not recommend this pad. Unless your saddle is sitting lower in the back. I would search for with pads, horse.com has a cheap set for less than $20.00 when I purchased a set for my older horse.
will this help where the back of saddle lifts off the horse's back?

BEST ANSWER: A riser pad is designed to raise the back of a saddle if that's what's needed to make it level on the horse's back.
