Reins Have Good Length
I only gave them 4 stars because the rope used is soft but I was looking for one with less stretch and more like climbing rope. Overall the work fine.

Haven't had time to try yet.
Looks like a good quality rope rein. How can you go too wrong with two pieces of leather and nylon rope.

Great reins.. Too short
The reins are great. But when you actually hook them to the bit they don't feel "10ft" long. So if you don't mind not giving your horse their face, these would be perfect.

Pretty with good feel, but not quite right
I love the feel of these reins. They fit nicely in my hands, and they aren't too heavy or too light weight. However, that's probably the only thing I like about them. The slobber straps, though they slip on and off my set fairly easily, are extremely stiff and they aren't tapered, making them difficult to fit onto any bit besides my snaffles. I see some leather cutting in my near future with these. Also, though the reins are an okay length for my purposes, they are advertised as 10 foot reins, therefore I paid for them expecting to get 10 foot reins, but these only measure 8 feet.Overall, yes, I like them for just a cheap set of knock around reins, but would I purchase another set? No.

can't attach them
not long enough, supposed to be 10', they are only 8'5".could not remove the slobber straps to get them on the bit, no slit and it won't pass over the rope endswas hoping since they were tapered that they would fit a western bit, but appears the leather is too wide - could not get them unfastened to find out

The product is of good quality, although it would have been helpful to have directions on how to use it...... This is a new item for me and I don't know how to attach it to the bridle.

Rope is a bit stiff
I would say that overall, the reins are of good quality. However, the feel of the rope was a bit too stiff in my hands. I was expecting a little softer feel. After a while, my fingers get a little sore.

Seems good
I like the length of these reins. They are a little stiff, and I wasn't too fond of the slobber straps. They were almost impossible to get off of the reins so that I could attach them to my bridle. I ended up replacing them with a different pair.

Going to be using these reins on my gelding I will be training. He is not broke to saddle so I want my reins there if I were to drop them.

What is the length of these reins? There seems to be some discrepency in the reviews vs. the item description.

BEST ANSWER: They come with a knot tied in each end before the slobber strap and it measures 97". If you were to untie the knots and slide the slobber straps down the measurement is 117".
