Rubber curry
I have used these rubber curry combs for years. They are the best to get dried mud off your horse. They fit you hand and I'm quite sure my horse thinks he is getting a massage. He really enjoys being curried with it.

I would buy again
Like others have said, the smell of this brush is horrible! Do NOT open the package inside your house! It's covered with some kind of oil that has a smell that I can only describe as toxic. I tried scrubbing it with Dawn, no help. Using a rough cloth with rubbing alcohol helped a little, but, the only real remedy is to just let it air out for a couple of weeks. I didn't even want to use it on my horse with that oil on it.The teeth are pretty sharp, I sanded them down with a block sander before I used it.My horse liked it and it worked really well getting out the dirt and loose hair. I got the large, and it's a good size. Excellent price.

nice curry
The points are a bit sharp - use with care on sensitive areas.

Great curry!
Very flexible, perfect size, but it needs time to "out gas" for a few days before using, as it smells like a tire store (not surprising, since it's made of rubber!)

Not in love with product
I actually bought 20 of these thinking they were more flexible and made of a softer material. I find this curry a bit harsh on my horses' skin, to use them I actually have to wear them off with a rock. I am not buying this product again.

Good curry but SMELLY
I got both the large curry and the small curry. The first thing I noticed out of the box is the strong rubber odor, which I'm hoping goes away with time. The large curry has pointy teeth and the small has rounded square teeth. I got both sizes partly so that my brother or a friend could help groom and also because I figured that the smaller one would be ok on more sensitive areas.

This curry is okay...
Eh, it's alright. It's super hard, so you have to be gentle with it. Another potential problem is that the slot for your hand is really tiny. I have tiny little hands, so it's the perfect size for me, but anyone with even slightly larger hands will have issues with it. I'm probably going to look for a softer curry, but it wouldn't hurt to have this as a back up in your grooming supplies.

SMELLY RUBBER and hard HARD hard!
I was looking for a cheap rubber curry that would be soft. This curry is hard HARD hard. It makes my horse flinch every time I use it. The smell is so vile that my husband actually commented on it. I would NOT recommend it.

Great Rubber Curry
I love this Rubber Curry, since it works great on shedding winter coats & removing the mud from my horses. It does smell a little funny, but after a few weeks the smell went away.

Must Buy
This curt is wonderful. My horse loves it and it really loosens all the dirt and hair. It does have an AWEFUL smell but it goes away after a few uses.

Grooming staples like this are hard to find in the average feed store, you can't beat the price and it's a good product.
Kathy M on May 21, 2014
This most basic of grooming tools has been strangely absent lately from every tack store in my area! Why are they no longer carrying these rubber curry brushes? Their loss. I got them here at a great price!
