easy on the horse
These spurs are very humane. They are not sharp at the ends. I have a tendency to turn my ankles in. These spurs will not jab the horse due to the round end.

Great.
Spurs are great. Good quality. Wish they were also made in brass.

really nice
I've never had a pair of spurs in my life much less an english set. But I needed a pair for my uniform since I'm a volunteer for a mounted unit in the sheriff's department. These seem to be good quality and have a great look. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but hopefully when I do they'll hopefully stay like new for a long time.

Sensitive Horse
my TB mare is pretty sensitive to leg pressure but not sensitive enough to go with out spurs...they are perfect for a beginners with an unsteady leg..the end is short enough it wont irritate the horse for an accidental kick to the side but they still provide enough to let your horse know your leg is actually there =]

I like the rounded blunt end. I am a beginner and don't want anything too harsh. These look gentle.

"Kinder" spurs!!! My OTTB is sensitive to most spurs and these are so smooth that I can get the transitions and movements I am asking for without a buck or a head bob because I am jabbing him with something too harsh. These are my go to, never ride without!

are they silver?
ellie K on Jun 11, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No, I believe they are stainless steel but they sure look like silver & they don't tarnish. Had them for 2 years &they are great!
do they come with a strap???
A shopper on Jun 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They do not come with straps. Instead of ordering straps I purchased dog collars at the dollar store for my 10 year old rider and they work great.
