Great product for safety
Ive yet to fall off with these but I have seen others come off and the band snaps off easily for safety. Only thing is the band came in red, no big deal but something they could mention. Overall, I would recommend always riding in these for safety. Nice size and good quality. A good stirrup.

Great for price, but not as pictured
Best price around for peacocks, and the only place I could find with the larger 4 3/4" size (for my winter boots). But these are not State Line Tack stirrups as shown, the DID arrive with white stirrup pads, and the rubber band is REALLY strong. Swapped out with a band more likely to release.

Good and bad
I love the safety aspect of these irons, and I can tell they could really save someone's butt. They haven't popped out while riding yet, but I have a feeling they will. BUT BE WARNED. The bands on my irons came in bright ORANGE, not black. So if you were showing at say a local level show they will get noticed. This is my main issue with them because the description states no warning about the bands being in assorted colors. If the color doesn't bug you though, good buy and good price!

Irons
I received this item and the leather part of the peacock was totally in shreds... torn apart I returned the item and got another new pair shipped to me and they were not in much better condition, The rubber part of the break away had holes and looked aged. but other than that they were great! Might want to buy extra rubber/leather parts if you buy this product though.

Love them!!
These stirrups are great and a real life saver. They are so safe that yesterday when I was jumping my foot must have hit the sides and the right rubberband popped off, good thing I know how to ride without stirrups! But my trainer rode in these stirrups while training a horse and he spooked and was bucking like crazy, if it wasen't for these stirrups she would have not just walked off with just a bruised tail bone.

Peacock Irons
These irons are the safest out there. They immediately pop off if you fall and are very reliable. My instructor doesn't have us ride with anything else. They're affordable, too! Recommended to all English riders.

WOW!
So, when i was younger and learning english, i saw many of other riders getting dragged in jumping and flat riding accidents. I always rode on saddles with these sturrips, and i reccomend them to all! They release quickly, and really save your butt! Right now im getting back into riding english (ive been riding western) and im looking to buy an adult pair for me saddle!

Not so good
I was riding at a show with stirrups like these that belonged to a friend, and the horse was bucking with me a bit, and it fell off and i nearly fell. Luckily i can hang on.

For an adult which size stirrups?
A shopper on Dec 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Bring or wear your riding boots when sizing your foot for stirrups. Wear riding boots that have a thick heel because the heel offers traction. Boots with a heel can prevent falling or injury, preventing your foot from sliding through the stirrup in the event that your horse makes a sudden movement.
Measure the widest part of your foot in inches with measuring tape, from side-to-side, with your boots on. Add one to two inches onto your measurement to account for one inch or a half-inch of slack on both sides of your stirrups, based on your preference and riding style.
I teach therapeutic riding. Should I get the largest size iron to be safe since these riders come in all sizes?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question however the ordering of sizing is your discretion
