Nonexistant quality control for these sadddles
I have a Thornhill Shannon Grady Jr all purpose saddle that I had bought from my local tack store only about two years ago. I absolutely love it! The leather is durable, even if it is not the top of the line. I'm sure the panels are only foam and not wool flocked, but still as a lesson saddle it has held up beautifully for numerous students. I loved it so much I bought a second one from Horse.com. It was a HUGE disappointment. The leather quality appeared to be the same. The panels the same as well. But they were attached crookedly making the saddle sit crooked on the horse. Or perhaps the panels were attached to a crooked/twisted tree, making them appear attached wrong. Either way the saddle is unusable as uneven weight distribution would hurt the horse and hinder the rider. I can't believe they actually shipped me this twisted saddle. Had they any form of quality control and send me a correct and balanced saddle, I would be sending rave reviews!
