Nice, but so are others...
To be fair, I've got two bareback pads, different brands. Don't recall the second brand (daughters pad) but that one was $50 at a private retailer. I had thought toklat was better (I paid $100 at a big horse store) until I used it regularly. I've rode just patterns, maybe 30 min a day fir total of 30 days and padding is thinning. This pad is much thinner compared to my other, but I like the brushed "suede". Until the other day I thought it was real.... then I got it wet and realized I was wrong! Dried fine though, no color rub off. Mine is,royal blue. My horse is fat and takes nearly a wide tree, but I can girth him up 3 notches each side with this, but no girth fits every horse!Might last a year with regular use, but not happy about padding thinning. I have a boney butt and when I put this on my other horse I could feel his spine. He was not thrilled about my boney butt! But the price is good.Ps, sneaky horses can figure out how to take it off....

Toklat Microsuede Bareback Pad was all it was nocked up to be except...
The Toklat Microsuede Bareback Pad is a lovely pad. The color red was rich-just beautiful, and the texture is sure to help us all stay on our equine friend. The pad is thick, the fleece covered girth adjusted on both sides - removes for machine washing, and seemed like it would be comfortable for rider and equine alike. Unfortunately, my horse is a small draft and weighs in at about 1500 lbs. I needed 4-5" more of girth. I was very disappointed that I had to return the pad to Horse.com.The price was extremely reasonable for the quality of this bareback pad. It was quite attractive, but beyond looks, it seemed quite durable, well put together, easy care cleaning instructions, and best of all, Made in the USA.When Toklat comes out with a large horse size bareback pad, rest assured I'm going to purchase one.
