Missing items and not the correct size it states it fits
Does not even come close to fitting up to a 13hh horse my 11hh pony it fit decent but I have a 12hh and a 13hh that even fully loosened did not fit. It also is missing the breast collar! How the heck am I suppose to use this thing if I'm missing a breast collar for it. Not happy at all!

Okay for beginners who are dragging tires
First day being used on my green horse who is confident in not spooky, we were going up a hill in my little cart, AND A TRACE BROKE ALONG WITH THE STRAP THAT HOLDS THE SHAFT. Out of no where. Loud popping sound, a shaft dropped, and we know what happens after wards. Got my boy calm and settles down, took the entire harness off right there and led him home. Had the boyfriend pick up the cart and harness. It's was perfect for dragging around tires and just ground driving, but don't put it through anything strenuous, you know, like a small hill, or bump. Worth the money I paid for I guess.

LOVE this
This is my first time driving and a new learning experience.I was worried about quality because it was nylon, but I have had this for about 6 month and I put my stuff through rough work. it has held up excellent! I was worried about the size, but my slightly fat 32inch mini fits this harness well. The crupper is very larger and looks uncomfortable, but I have yet to fix that. crupper is not unusable (as I have used it for many months). the nylon is good quality and very soft. I will have to agree with the comment of the saddle needing padding, but I have not had the problem of sliding.Overall you will not find a harness of this quality for this price!

Very few complaints, good for the money
I was skeptical after seeing reviews saying how poor this harness was made, and that the blinders were glued on and the bridle was the wrong size.I got mine and I am VERY IMPRESSED with most everything. The nylon is soft, and good quality. Everything seems sturdy and the buckles seem strong. Here's my only complaintsOvercheck: It is only two nylon straps straight to the bit. It gets in the horses eyes. My solution is crossing the nylon straps and rubber banding them together so they stay in the center of the horse's face.Saddle: Definitely should have a pad on this. Just not enough padding The material is also very slick, a pad might help prevent slippage. It is usable, but I'm just going to use my leather one with the rest of the nylon parts.Crupper: Okay to be honest, I would NOT want that chunk of nylon and padding under my tail. Mine was WAY too large for a mini, and yet alone too big to be comfortable. I would DEFINITELY replace this with a leather one instead.

Bad quality
The first day we put it on our pony it ripped! Really disappointed, over priced and very cheap material.

Good starter harness!
Great starter harness for backyard driving or training. The pony size fits our 44" ponies perfectly. This is perfect for teaching our kids how to drive their ponies. Love the removable blinders. The harness itself is really wonderful! My only complaint would be against horse.com for not stating that this product does not ship from them. It comes from TAB.com; also the bag the harness is supposed to fit in was torn in several places. I am wondering if they sent me a used or returned product. I had to throw the bag away, so have nothing to store it in.

Good starting harness
This harness is a perfect match for dragging around a tire. It is not high quality anything, but it works and fits an average sized horse. The blinders are hard to get to stay correctly positioned the first time on the horse, so be very cautious about using them. There is also a spot where I think I will have to reinforce the stitching next season in order to continue using it. The quality of everything is low, but exactly what I wanted for a first harness for my young horses.

This is junk!!!
First time we put it on the mini 2 straps tore off due to poor stitching. It dropped a shaft down & she stepped over it causing a minor wreck. If she had been a full-size horse or not quite as trusting it could have been disastrous. The only part that fit right is the saddle portion that fell apart. The bridle is too small and incomplete, but nearly everything else was too big. The breeching keeps sliding back to the crupper. There is no adjustment on the top of the breast collar so a thick necked horse will be choking itself. Just don't bother even looking at it. I've spent a couple days turning a training surcingle into a saddle. It's far better padded anyway & my stitching won't come loose. I'll buy the show harness locally so I can see it first.Otherwise I've always been happy with Horse.com, but this was horrible.

I needed an inexpensive harness to train a rescue pony; this harness fit the bill perfectly. The nylon is pretty sturdy and worked just great to get the pony trained to ground drive and then pull a cart.

Why is it on a plastic horse?
Allie on Jan 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The plastic horse is the only view or instructions that you are going to get!!! The harness is dangerous. the metal is not steel or brass, the metal breaks! The driving lines then get caught up in the harness. You loose control when the metal breaks
How do I know what size to get for my horse ? She is a 13.2hh Arabian.
Rebecca C on Dec 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: We do make a cob (arabian) harnesses and that would most likely be the best size for the horse you have described.

can this be used with a sulky?
tina k on Feb 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, as long as you measure properly to ensure correct sizing.
Does the harness come with girth?
Tasha on Jun 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it is part of the harness bellyband, most harnesses do come with a girth made out of the same materials as the harness.
Our pony is 10.5 hands, which size would be better, pony or mini??
A shopper on Jan 7, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Its hard to determine based on height alone. If your pony is super stocky and rather large, a pony might be better. If your pony is built more like a miniature, then a miniature would probably work. However, it would probably be best to consult a local person with experience fitting a harness to a horse to help you determine what would work best.
Illustrations?
A shopper on Jul 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There are no instructions provided. i looked on this site for instructions, nothing. I looked all over the internet. the metal on the harness is so cheap it just broke off right away
Does the harness come in mini pony size A?
A shopper on Nov 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The harness is cheap. The metal ring to hold the reins over the withers, just broke off almost right away. Does not come with any instructions. I tried to find instructions on how to correctly use this harness, looked everywhere I could think of. I am new at carting. It just discouraged me until I decided to buy a leather harness.
Is there any way to get measurements? I have a huge build halflinger not sure whether to get horse or cob.
A shopper on Nov 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I loosened the surcingle portion of the harness to the loosest hole and it measures 80" around on the cob size harness. That is as large as it can be made so if your halflinger measures larger than that I would bump up to the horse size.
How long are the reins?
SHERRY P on Apr 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: the reins are long enough, but the lines that hook to the cart are not long enough. The metal breaks and the harness is dangerous because off the metal parts breaking. It is not steel or brass just some weak cheap junk instead.
Do you see the part that goes under the tail separate?
A shopper on Sep 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: (the croup is connected to the girth with a strap that can be adjusted and the croup could be removed
I ordered a pony sized harness for our 10.5 hands pony. It's too big. Do you think the mini sized would be big enough??? Thank you.
A shopper on Jan 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the mini is pretty small, we have mini mules and the pony harness fit them fine. You might have to mix and match to make it work depending on what part doesn't fit.
