best pad all around for comfort of the horse. I should know I ride every day all an all 15 of my horses use these
HORSEBACK R on Feb 16, 2016
I chose this orginally for the color and the size. We got the neon green one. The thing that stands out for us though is that it doesn't get soaking wet with sweat like a lot of other saddle pads.

Does this pad scratch the horse? Some of the reviews say the underneath part is extremely rough???
Carol K on Apr 4, 2015
Best Answer: I used mine to cross the state of Michigan in 10 days for about 250 miles. The only thing it did was rubbed some hair off towards her hind but that was due to riding 8 hours a day in hot temperatures. I still use it to ride and have no problem with short distance for riding about 4 hours. I absolutely love it cause it keep the saddle square and doesn't shift around even with my young mate and her attitude problems. Hope that helps.

Is it good for barrel racing?
A shopper on Aug 5, 2014
Best Answer: I do not barrel race but I do use it for everyday riding and used it to cross the State of Michigan on my horse. It helped keep my saddle centered on my horses back and stayed in place with cantering up all the hills while taking sharp corners. It is a great saddle pad, and I love it!

can you use them for regular western riding ?
Marina C on Jun 30, 2014
Best Answer: You can use the pad for regular western but mine wouldn't stay in place; kept sliding back. I think it's because of the synthetic material (felt like plastic mesh). I'm in the process of finding a professional saddle fitter to see if that's my problem. However, others have said that it IS bc of the synthetic material that it doesn't stay in place.
