forgiving spur
love this new spur, if you just need to urge a young or sensitive horse forward, this is the spur. It's right there, no turning your leg or foot, just gentle nudge. Very humane extension of your heel.

Excellent quality
Quality is excellent, I listed durability as good because I have not used due to weather but appears to be durable. I recommend purchasing this item.

falls off if not attached to boot
I haven't tried to tighten them manually but I have attached them to my boots using an elastic and so far so good. They give my horse the extra "GO" in cattle penning and am happy with the result.

Exactly what it is supposed to be
These spurs fit my needs perfectly. They slide on the boot, snug around the heel and stay on. The only thing I would change is to not have the tips flare out so much, that is a matter of fit around the boot. I never wanted to use harsh spurs on my sensitive Arabian and these bumpers provide just the right amount of motivation!

Ladies' size spur.
I bought this for my size 11 boots. The first time I rode in them, they kept sliding back until one popped off in the arena.. I gave them to a friend with smaller feet and they were perfect for her. Didn't come off and stayed in place. My horse responded very well to the spur, whereas she ignores the rounded "humane" spurs. My friend's horse also responded very well when my friend rode with the spur.My advice for ladies with big feet is to find this spur in a men's size (which I have done). It's a great product and very well designed. Nice to have a spur on the side of the heel so you don't have to keep turning your toes out to use it.

Bumper Spurs for 8 year old
These spurs worked great for our 8 year old on our pleasure horse that had previously been ridden with spurs all the time. Gave her just enough nudge with her short legs that would get him going.
