one of the belly straps broke after the first day!
I thought this was going to be good for my old retired horse because of the belly guard. He had a fly sheet that I have used the last couple years on him but it didn't protect his belly. The darned belly strap broke after 1 day!!! So frustrating. He is not hard on things at all. I have had his other fly sheet since spring 2015 and it is not broken. The other strap broke within a couple more weeks rendering it useless. Don't waste your money on this product.

The price for the quality is great
My mare has only been wearing this for for 2 weeks. I like the full coverage of the belly band however I think it will be too hot to wear when the temp and humidity get into the 90's. I alternate this fly scrim with the Mio fly sheet with attached neck depending on what turnout pasture she goes in. So far it is holding up well w/ no snags or holes. This mare has insect allergies and is currently on oral and topical treatment.

Best price and my horses love it!
My biggest problem in the past has been the horses belly. This fly sheet has the best belly wrap I have ever bought. The Velcro is extremely strong, two long straps to keep the belly wrap in place. This is a really well made sheet and so far has held up fantastic especially with horses that are hard on sheets. I think this is a great value and a great sheet.

I purchased another brand without the shoulder gussets and it has rubbed my horses raw at the shoulders. Hoping these are a better fit!

How to measure for a fly sheet?
A shopper on Jun 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER:
1) Decide where you want the sheet or blanket to end. Some people prefer the tail portion to be long enough to form a "tent" over the top of the horse's tail, especially for turnout coverings. Other people prefer to have horse sheets and blankets stop just short of the tail, especially for stable wear.

2) Stand your horse squarely on level ground.

3) Stretch a soft fabric tape measure with inch increments from the center of your horse's chest (where the base of the neck meets the chest) over the point of his shoulder, to the point at which you want the sheet or blanket to end. The diagram provided here shows that the horse's tail will be covered by the blanket, because the tape measure is stretched to the center of the tail (dock).
4) The inch measurement you obtain translates to blanket size you should try on your horse.
I have 2 halflinge/ Belgian horses, will this blanket fit a draft?
A shopper on Apr 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Probably not??? I have this scrim in a size 78, which is my Appendix mare's normal size, and it barely fits her. They're not sized generously.
My 14.1 pony has a thick body so middle of chest to butt is 72 ....
But too long! Do they make pony coats?
A shopper on Sep 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Horse clothing sizes usually go in increments of 3 inches. You can see smaller choices if you type "69 fly" or "66 fly" in our Search bar for the next two sizes down.
Is this suitable for turnout?
Breanne W on May 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is. I like mine. It has lots of gussets and is generously cut, so my horse is comfortable moving around outside.
