Tears Easily
Definitely doesn't fit my 3-string bales, but it rolls nice and is easy to carry with lots of handles. However, you bump any semi-sharp object and it's going to tear the fabric - pretty disappointed with that. Probably not going to last too long, but I actually do like it.

ordered 2 bags 1 was good
Good size. Holds 2 string bales . Ordered 2 bags 1 is a sturdy bag and have used it many times . The second bag I had put away and not looked at.went to use it and bag split at the seams by both handles . Good bag but check before return runs out for the bag!

Fits 3 string bale of hay with ease
Very easy to handle, perfect for keeping hay clean and dry during weekends away. I use mine for camping and it's great!!

Just what we needed!
We used the hay carriers last weekend for a horse show and they made handling the hay issue much, much easier without all the mess. Our bales were too long, 48", so several hay flakes had to be removed. WE liked all the handles which made maneuvering and lifting hay much easier. We put one bag in front of truck bed and the other one near the tailgate, due to our gooseneck hitch. No issues when bags are full, but when partially empty wind will whip zippers and flap open, so we put the partially full bag in the trailer dressing room and did not have to worry about hay getting all over. The only criticism is the lightweight nylon material used for the side zipper pocket. The raw edges fray badly and the hay particles get caught in them. Durability remains to be seen, as bags have only been used once so far. Wheels are great for moving hay, as most of the weight is on them and hay is easy to move for one person. Would definitely recommend.

Terrible! Bag tore where handle attached 1st time picked up.
Bought this hay bale carrier for a beach trip. Loaded my bale of hay in it after removing the bale carrier from it's plastic shipping bag, zipped the bale bag closed, picked it up by the handles to roll it across the floor, and I had no sooner picked it up, when an eight inch long TEAR opened up along the seam where the handle was attached to the bag! Not very impressive. Now I'm stuck with a damaged bag. Guess I'll have to resort back to wrapping my hay in blue plastic tarps. At least they don't tear. Very disappointed in this product.

Don't waste your money on a different brand
We bought one of these and also one of a different brand (although the other brand did not have wheels). We took both with us on a recent camping trip. This one is plenty big for the small square bales, good zipper, lots of handles, and easy to roll. The other brand's zipper broke the first time we undone it, and the bale was extremely hard to put into it. All our bales are the same size. I will be purchasing another one of these soon.

Great product.
We go camping with our horses . . . a lot! the bags are great for hauling hay between the barn and the trailer, but even better, they transport partial bales without any waste.

Like It
Although I have only had the opportunity to use this bag on one trip I found it easy to use. The zipper area opens plenty wide enough to easily slip a square bale of hay in. I had extra room in the bag using a standard bale. The additional zippered storage area on top is convenient for any kind of gear really. Bridles, fly mask, etc will easily fit. The wheels rolled nicely. I leave it stocked up in my horse trailer ready to go. Since my trailer has no extra storage this works out well to leave it in the extra stall space opposite my horse. It stays put while on the road as well.Happy Trails from Florida!

Going camping. Needed something durable. Can't wait!!!

I chose this item as it has wheels and makes it easier to move when it has a full bale of hay in it. We travel and camp with our horses and the bags also keep the hay from going everywhere. This is our 2nd bag and we love the other one so much, we are buying a second.
TONI G on Jun 21, 2014
based on the reviews it was large enough to handle a bale of hay

Is this large enough to hold a 3-string bale?

BEST ANSWER: they transport partial bales without any waste.
what is the depth of the rolling hay bag?
A shopper on Aug 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It is 18 inches deep. 44 inches long, and 24 inches wide. It is plenty big for two string bales and very good quality. I tried another brand, and this one is far superior.
Is this bale bag water proof?
Mrs. terry P on Dec 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Well, i forgot and left it in the back of my dually for a couple of weeks, with a bale of hay in it. It poured during those two weeks, when I removed it and opened it up, most of the hay was dry. Only the very bottom was wet and that was because the water backed up in the bed of the truck before draining out, so it was setting in water at some point doing this time. I had placed the bale in the upper corner of the truck, so it was sitting over the drain hole, which is in the corner of the truck. When I say it poured, it poured several inches in a short period of time. I was very surprised only the very bottom was wet.
how many sides does the zipper open? how big is the zipper?
perry p on May 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The zipper opens on three sides, leaving the cover attached on one short end. The zipper is heavy enough to handle the job if you do not over fill the carrier. They work very well to keep the hay contained and are easy to maneuver with the wheels, especially with a full, bound bale. Caution: when using them to transport a partial bale in the truck bed or a place that gets lots of wind, the wind will whip the zipper open and can damage the bag. So we usually place the partially filled carrier directly behind the truck cab or in the horse trailer. Hope this helps you.
