I bought these exact shipping boots but from another website. These are made very very cheaply. The Velcro is not very strong at all & even the smallest movement allows the Velcro to come unattached therefore causing the boots to fall off or easily shift down the leg. Of course when they shift down the horse stands on them therefore they ripped in several places while traveling in the trailer. First use they absolutely fell apart on the back legs. I reinforced all 4 boots with more Velcro, (strongest I could find but still not strong enough to my standards) & also stitched up all the rips that happened at the first use. I also reinforced all the seems with extra stitching as it was not sewn to my standards either. They weren't pretty to look at (as I only had white thread in my machine at the time so it stood out on the black boots) but I wanted to give them another go before I called them trash. They fell down her legs again so therefore she stood on them, stomping around on them again causing more tears. I bought 2 sets of these, 1 for each horse & never even opened the other package. I should have returned the unopened ones but time slipped up on me therefore I couldn't due to company policy. Pretty angery about it all. What boots would you recommend using? I've thought about just making my own quilted liners & making my own wider polo type wraps. I just want something that easily goes on & securily stays on. Polo wraps take more time but willing to use if they would work best for my sitution.

BEST ANSWER: I personally like any of the major name brand shipping boots (such as Roma, Horseware, or Kensington). They are well-made and do a good job.
If you choose not to use shipping boots, you may prefer to use standing bandages paired with bell boots. I personally would not recommend polo wraps as they are not very thick.
The horse I currently trailer needs a combination of both: she kicks and kicks if she has rear shipping boots on, but accepts hind standing bandages with bell boots.
