Good buy when on sale.
Purchased this with other items for lunging. Surcingle is constructed well. But the leather is painted. So is the matching caveson. Not sure why, I've never seen leather tack like this. Is not natural looking. Had no leather smell. Was a bit disappointed. Comes in a cute case for storage. Used it once and held up. Concerned this paint is going to start to peal. It was stiff and hope it takes oil. Not sure with this paint. Looks nice and seems to be sturdy. Not a bad but could have been happier with a natural looking leather...no paint.

excellent quality
I took a chance on getting this because I have a Purebred Arabian. However, when we tried the surcingle on her, because it is so adjustable it fit perfectly! I was impressed with that and the quality of the leather and the workmanship.

Impeccable Quality
I have bought MANY cheaper training surcingles in the past however none of them have held up not to mention the rings are too small to attach anything to. So as a last stitch resort I decided to give this one a try before getting one professionally made for me. I was VERY pleased. the quality is second to none, heavy duty thick leather, the rings are heavy and large as well as there are more than enough of them to attach whatever I need to. but most importantly My horses are COMFORTABLE in this surcingle. I absolutely recommend this product!

I needed one and this seemed lie a good buy
Mimi G on Sep 30, 2015
To use the lowest rings I could for double rein lounging. The quality seemed good and I would rather buy one with the correct shaping for the withers, than buy 10 cheap ones and keep replacing them. Looking after leather is a joyful, peaceful part of horse ownership. People treat it like a job instead of the therapeutic benefits it can give, if done with a mind to relax whilst doing it. In the end you get a completed job, that improves your tack and looks great.

Could this fit a mammoth donkey gelding?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It could fit the donkey, but use a different girth. The girth it comes has cheap brass clips/buckles and they broke on the first day. I use one of my western girths and it's great.
What size horse will this fit?
A shopper on Apr 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: 4" wide approximately 77" shortest and 84" longest. Warmblood size
