Not good for outside
Any water makes them top heavy and sag, plus they fall down over hoof and get holes. The velcro doesnt last long for sticking. They just fall off in the pasture. If you want them for inside, probably work great, but they cant stand the pressure of outside use.

Not worth it
Appeared like a great deal with sale and discounts. Ripped after a week, now I have none, literally fell apart. I got two sets and my guys are easy on their clothes. Looked cute for about an hour.

Falls down around the pastern
These look and feel nice but I've tried them twice now. Each time I return to the paddock they are crumpled around his pastern.

helps stop stomping
These fly boots are one size and my horse is over 16 H and the boots fit him with a little room to spare. If your horse was finer boned the boots will overlap so take that into consideration. As far as the pattern keeping flies off, I haven't seen any flies land on the boots.so, I don't know if that works. The material is soft so they don't stay up totally, but to be fair I have other brands that have stiffer material and they don't stay up on the leg totally either. If you like the zebra pattern, go for it, they work just as well as most boots. My horse is a very colorful appaloosa and between his color and the zebra pattern that is a sight.

Very good value, definitely help with preventing fly bites
I have tried many different brands of fly boots. These are the best for the money. They hold up very well and truly prevent the numerous fly bites and sores that my horse was getting without the boots. Easy to wash and reuse for 6-8 months.

they do not wear well, the adhesive strips are way too long!

I like the design, although it probably will clash with my appaloosas coloring but I am hoping the blk/wh pattern will discourage the flies as stated.

Hoping they fit my small legged horse. If not I will have to sew to fix fit and will not order again.

Does the fly boots velcro in the front and fur part of boot go towards inside of each leg?
A shopper on Jul 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I found this hard to figure out, too. Whoever designed this probably wasn't a horse person! I have an Arabian and find the fur part goes around the entire leg overlapping quite a bit. The straps end up either on the front or inside the leg and not on the outside of the leg, like it should be. I think you are doing it right, based on the design. It's like the material is too long. I have not had a problem with my horse getting rubbing them off but I do keep an eye out for this as, like you say, the straps end up in the front or inside the leg. I do find the zebra pattern works to keep the bugs away.
what size are these?
Stacy P on Mar 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I bought these for my small horse/large pony. Both the mask and boots would be for an average size horse. My pony is a stocky, 14 hands and they were a little large, but worked well. The material is soft, so does not rub or scrape, which I like.
How do i know what size to purchase?
A shopper on May 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They are much larger than the previous brand I had purchased. I have a donkey and got they were so large I had to sew a seam to keep them from sliding down her hoof. Also, FYI, the quality is poor. They wore along the hoof line where the fleece trim lines the perimeter. Again, find another brand.
how many per order?
