Is the top matirial grippy to sit on?
A shopper on Jan 30, 2017
Best Answer: No, but I love the pad. It gives you a secure feeling and I use it all the time. Got a new horse and used it the first time I rode her, and she is blind. It is all I use. I do not think I will use a regular saddle ever again. I can mount and dismount with it but I do not use stirrups to mount and dismount. I am 67.

What kind of material is the top side made of and is it waterproof? Can you hang a small water bottle off the D-ring by the handle?
Annette N on Jan 20, 2016
Best Answer: It is water-resistant. Waxwear is a fine cotton canvas soaked in a centuries old paraffin formula originally developed for sailcloth. The wax impregnated canvas provides greater strength and abrasion resistance. You could use the D-ring to hang things or to attach a breastplate.

What is the girth and stirrup straps made of?
M G on Jun 29, 2016
Best Answer: The stirrup straps are nylon and the girth is the ventilated tacky too stuff with the holes in it similar to the underside of the bareback pad. There is a central d ring in the girth for hooking up a breast collar.

are the stirrups removeable?
A shopper on Nov 28, 2016
Best Answer: I believe they are. They straps holding the stirrups are looped around and has a buckle. I plan to replace the stirrups with wider ones that have the rubber pad. But, I really like this pad. It girths up just like a regular saddle. It is even possible to change the girth if preferred.

Are the stirrups able to be used while mounting or are they only to ease your comfort while riding?
A shopper on Feb 9, 2016
Best Answer: It depends. If you can just use them lightly to boost you onto the pad, you will probably be okay. If you really need to tug on them to mount up, that will probably make the pad slide toward you. This will also happen more with very round-barreled horses or those it's difficult to get the girth tight enough on.

Is the seat comfortable?
A shopper on Jan 30, 2017
Best Answer: I bought this for my daughter so I don't have first hand knowledge, but she seems to like it.

Will it fit high withered horse?.
A shopper on Mar 25, 2016
Best Answer: It will fit a horse of pretty much any shape. The size of the pad is 26 1/2" spine and 32" across at the widest part. If the 26" cinch is not a good size for you, it is removable.
