Cocosoya...triple value
Highly recommend Cocosoya to anyone who wants to add calories to their horse's diet. All our horses like it, and it additionally promotes a shiny coat and hoof growth.

My horses love it!
All of our horses are on this product - show horses, broodmares, even the weanlings! They love the taste, and it really makes a difference in their coats - they are all so shiny! It really helps reduce the "Dust" from the individual horses' powdered supplements, too! I highly recommend it!

Cocosoya for my itchy animals
I can't give you a full report at this time because I've only had the product for two weeks. I didn't buy it at my local feed store, and then I saw a great price on horse.com ,so decided to give it a try. I have a high-quality black German horse that's always itchy and a black rescue dog that was severely malnourished when I got her . I think it's going to relieve their problems with dry skin and hopefully help my skinny dog eat better. They both love the taste which is enough endorsement in itself !

Noticeable difference within two weeks!
Saying my 15 year old QH gelding is a hard keeper is an understatement- he is an.IMPOSSIBLE.keeper.I bought him underweight and undermuscled last September, and immediately began to put him on different supplements and a nice grain to help. Within the first month he gained 50-100 lbs, plateaued, and then lost it when the coldest part of the winter hit. By spring I looked at other options. I tried wheat germ oil, rice bran oil, alfalfa pellets, hay stretcher, etc. Didn't do much. I decided to buy Cocosoya and within two weeks I'm already seeing a difference! His topline is slowly filling in, his butt is starting to get round, and the amount of ribs I can count is diminishing, On top of that, his palomino summer coat is coming in with a dark golden sheen that I've noticed was lacking before.I love this product. It works fast, and it's tasty. On top of everything, it's cheap.

Shiny coat, helps w/ weight management
I've been using this with my not so easy keeper thoroughbred for years. It helps him to maintain weight and he loves the taste. It is tough to get all of the oil mixed in the gallon container though. There is usually some gummy residue on the bottom.

Top Notch
Horses (and dogs) love the taste. Gives my horses' coats a healthier glow. Helps disguise the taste of Bute when necessary.

My horse lost a lot of weight during the winter, and I searched ways to help her gain it back. This was one of the ways, and it naturally shines her coat and is great for her skin and hair. Also, she likes the flavor when I mix it in with her feed.
Eleesha N on Jun 29, 2015
Two of our horses are mid to late 30's, toothless, and eat soaked pellets. But the oldest (almost 40) is having a hard time gaining weight again, so am hoping the ingredients will help him gain weight and get shiny again.

Reordered this...my horses LOVE the taste. I am seeing a slow weight gain on old mare and her coat is glistening.

I've been feeding this oil for the past 15 years and had great results; it helps put weight on the hard keepers, is high in Omega fatty acids, and puts an excellent shine on their coats! It also makes it easier to disguise supplements or medications in their feed once they get used to the taste of the oil. (None of mine have objected to the oil!)
Teresa M on Apr 13, 2014
I haven't found anything that's put weight and shine on my OTTBs like this product has. After 30 days I noticed a major change, especially in the mare who hasn't responded to any of the other supplements I've tried. Great product!

my TB mare is about 22 yrs old and needs weight gain, how much to start with for that?
Ruth P on Mar 6, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The Manufacturer's recommended dosage for equine maintenance is 1 to 4 oz daily. You can start with one ounce and work up from there if need be.
How many ounces per day is recommended for a draft horse?
A shopper on Apr 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The Manufacturer recommends up to 4 oz. daily. If you are considering a higher dose, please consult with Uckele at pj\hone number 800-248-0330.
Is the soybean oil in this product non-GMO?
c s on Oct 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Uckele advises us that they cannot guarantee whether the soybean oil is non-GMO.
On the five gallon size, is there a pump provided? My concern is that it would be too heavy for me to pour, let alone shake it up.
Jessamyn L on Sep 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is a pump dispenser that you can buy separate for a couple dollars. I use it in my 5 gallon jug and I bought it from the same place I got the oil
Will this increase my horses energy? I noticed you said "cool" cals but I don't want to use it and have my horse turn into the energizer bunny!
aqha all around on May 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No 'energizer bunny" status... this is a good product for sustained calories and slow energy. I feed it to all my herd from the 6 year old gelding clydesdale, up to my senior 30 something belgium cross gelding. Its also great for their skin/coat and especially friendly this time of year when they are shedding out-it makes grooming much easier.
Can the horse formula be used for dogs also?
A shopper on Jan 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I do not know, so I suggest asking the manufacturer. However, if you read the indigence there does not seem to be anything that would suggest it cannot be fed to a dog. It has a sweet coconutty smell but I guess a dog would like it.
does this help a horse with cushings?
A shopper on Jun 22, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I don't really know much about Cushings. I believe Cocosoya is a blend of soybean oil and coconut oil. I add it to my TB's food to get more calories without adding carbs. If you find a contact number, the company is pretty receptive to questions.
