A great product. Tried it once and now I always have in my barn.
It helps detangle and then stays in the hair to keep working so it is easier next time I brush their mane and tail

Incredible
No matter how bad the tail gets you can count on the vetrolin to get it sorted out. Gives a nice sheen to the mane and tail as well. I apply it to the pin brush and then just start brushing.

I love it!
I've been buying this product for years. One of my horses has very thick happy hair and it works wonders for her. It makes brushing her mane and especially her tail a breeze

Love this product.
Have used this product for years. It stays in mane & tail for several days and keeps tangles out long term.

Works Fabulously!
I haven't worked with horses for about 30 years, so my frame of reference is very old, but I found this stuff to be GREAT. I used it on a friend's palomino who had managed to work her mane into those fabulous twisted tangles upon tangles. Took them all out, without having to cut any hair to break knots. As an added bonus, it's done wonders for moisturizing my cuticles.

Great product
I've used Vetrolin Detangler for years, love the ease that it detangles mane & tail! Tried other "well known" brands and always come back to Vetrolin, Little pricey but worth it to me.

Performs exactly as advertised
My horses have thick and long manes, tails, and forelocks. WithoutVetrolin, they would look like all the other horses. Everyone alwayscomments on their manes, etc. I even use it on my long haired dog.Excellent product and highly recommend.

Way better than another brand I used to use
This stuff is wonderful. I used to be a Cowboy Magic Detangler fan, but now I'm using this product. The smell isn't as froo froo as the Cowboy stuff, which is good. My horses don't like froo froo for some reason. Vetrolin is far more concentrated so you use less or you can mix a little water with it and make it go farther or even use it on wet manes. This stuff actually conditions the hair for a while which prolongs the length of time between wind knots (I have one mare whose mane gets wind knots daily if I don't use this stuff). I've even used it to remove mud balls from their manes and tails rather than washing them out with water. And the price is a less than the other product I used to use. For me, Vetrolin Detangler is a win, win, win for quality, results and price. I would like a bigger, economy sized bottle I can use just to refill my smaller bottle. That would be a "green" idea and the only improvement I can suggest for this product.

This is an awesome product. It makes getting tangles out of manes and tails much, much easier. I think it is fairly priced and it also smells really good!

Trying this instead of Cowboy magic due to price difference. It works very well and is comparable to Cowboy magic in the results.

Ran out. Best product for the price.

I love Vetrolin Shine, so wanted to try this to see if it adds some moisture to the hair and also if it is a better detangler for really thick manes and tails.

Best stuff ever. If you ever leave a braided tail up too long. This is the way to untangle the rat nest. Out it on dry to any tangles mess and get a wide tooth comb out and it'll easily start to untangle. Great for moisture as well. Good to use when it's cold out and you don't want to get your horses wet as well.

This product is the best thing that we have found to get tangles out of our horses manes, and after you use it, it helps to keep the tangles out for a while.

How do you apply this product? Rub it in, or spray it on?
A shopper on Nov 24, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It's too thick for a spray. You have to put it on your hands and run your hands through the mane or tail. I find it does a great job of detangling even bad knots and doesn't seem to dry the hair like many sprays do. The manes and tails also tend to stay tangle free longer.
Is this safe for dogs?
Linda W on Feb 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have 3 Australian shepherds and although I usually use the detangler on the horses, I have used it on dogs and it has not bothered them.
