About how many flakes of hay can this hold? Roughly as I know flakes differ in size.
Kaarin B on Jul 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Just saw in small writing it hold 1 flake. Sorry for the redundant question.
How does it work for grain in order for horses not to overeat?
Patricia J on Aug 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No, this would not be used to prevent over-eating of grain. We do offer a number of nets and feeders designed to slow down hay consumption.
To reduce food anxiety and spread out digestion, breaking up the grain into as many smaller servings as possible throughout the day is a good idea, as is soaking the grain long enough to make a "mash" that is much less likely to make the horse choke.
Is this suitable for mini horses?
Margaret B on Feb 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I acruelly bought it for a big horse to cut down his waisting food. It ended up working best for my mini making it easier to control his amounts. Be sure to put it at the right height for the mini. I do recommend this product
