Good features but too small
Not enough material between the bags to allow them to hang down the rear of the horse. The bags are bunched up behind the saddle and don't lay properly.

They need to change several things in the design of these bags, the strap that holds the top flap shut needs to be adjustable because when you put your stuff in the bags and hook the lock puts too much pressure on the fabric that the closure is sewn to. Your new bags will rip after a very short time. Also these bags do not sit well on my horse they sit too high up on the horses hips the width between the bags needs to be about 4 inches longer to allow the bags to sit better on the horse. They are very good quality and I love all the compartments too bad you can't use them as they won't close.Very disappointed

Great saddlebag, great price!
Great saddle bag. One side has a cooler/waterproof insert. The zippers seem sturdy. One of the pockets has a water resistant zipper that's nice for putting your phone in if its raining. The bags Are good sized too, but not overly huge.

I guess it depends where you ride...
My saddle bags didn't get through my first ride. I had placed 4 frozen water bottles in them (2 on each side with a sandwich). It was a challenging trail ride, and the grommets failed and ripped through the fabric. I live in AZ, so I was excited about the insulated bags (which were in fact good), but the durability was such that it was money thrown away.

This is a great product.
These are some of the nicest saddle bags I have ever seen. Lots of different pockets and I love the insulated pocket. I bought this as a gift for a friend but am now going to purchase a set for myself.

Nice saddle bags
Nice size & insulated bags. Just wish the water bottle holders were at the front instead if the back.

My only complaint would be that I wish both sides had an insulated insert for drinks as I like to keep a water bottle in each side for balance. But overall I really like these bags. I have bought numerous bags from other brands and they were either too large or just cheap materials. I love all the pockets so I can keep things seperated. I can only give 4 stars for durability because I have only owned them a month but they seem to be of good quality so I do expect them to last a few years.

My old saddle bags wore out , and this set seemed good bargain. They are really nice, well made and have an insulated liner for one side. However I would not buy them again personally, I prefer a deeper pocket that is not as wide. I have friends that will benefit from this purchase ...when I give them these saddle bags.

Will this fit on an english saddle?
virginia s on Jun 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: these bags feature adjustable webbing straps for stability and nickel plated mounting grommets that may be used possibly on an english saddle
Can these be used for the Front of an English riding saddle?
A shopper on Feb 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No . These are too large to go on the front of a saddle. These are the best saddle bags I've ever owned. Love the pockets and compartments and the insulated side.
HOW DO YOU ATTACH TO SADDLE?
JENNIFER on Jul 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: If you have saddle strings on the back of your saddle you tie them through the metal rings on the bags. It also has nylon straps on the front sides of the bags that you can buckle on to your saddle, on the back chinch or back chinch ring. I attach mine in both places. If you don't have saddle strings on the back of your saddle, I have used a stirrup hobble and take it through the back chinch ring and through the ring on the saddle bag.
What is the distance between the bags (the fabric meant to drape over the skirt)? I'm trying to imagine how far the bags will hang down.
Karen D on May 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The drop is going to be about 5 to 6 inches down
