Good quality for the price
I switched from a rope little s hackamore to this. I felt my horse was ready for a less harsh bridle. I like the quality and love the adjustments available on the leather peice. Works great for long trail rides!

Great product for decent price
I bought this hackamore because my gelding has sensitive skin and the rope ones were too hard on his nose. I figured for the price it was worth a try. I am not a fan of the stiff light leather, however once properly conditioned it had darkened up nicely and is very soft. It conforms to my horses heads nicely and does not slip around on their faces. I highly reccommend this to anyone considering this style of hackamore.

Nice for the price
I bought this hack with no intention of using the noseband. I wanted something I could customize so I needed a removable noseband. I have horses with very petite faces so this wouldn't have fit them as it is even on the smallest setting. I made a biothane noseband and a paracord one and a leather personalized one also so I can switch them out to match the headstall I'm using. I really like this hack as I have used it on several of my horses and with good hands you can easily move them from a snaffle to this hackamore. They seem to really be light in it and bend laterally and vertically just as well if not a Lil better than in a snaffle. In closing, it may not be a name brand but you can't beat this knock off for the price and customization factors. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an alternative to a bit.

Poor quality
Cheap leather and doesn't seem to sit right on my horses nose.

My Gelding Loves It!
I got this hackamore for my AQHA gelding after having fitting issues with a previous hackamore, which made the bridle press against his eyes when I pulled on it. He if very soft in the hackamore, and bends both laterally and vertically when asked for it. He has a good stop in it, but that is more of previous training than contact. The chain doesn't get too much contact, so it wouldn't be good for a horse that doesn't have too much of a woah on it. The leather noseband seems decent, for the price, though you get what you pay for, and it may not be as nice as the Reinsman version.

Got a new horse. she was not liking having a bit in her mouth and would fight me. i worked her out of that then picked up gaming (barrels) because of the turns i felt really bad about pulling her around the turns so i put a halter on and did it! she did amazing!! then i was told about the little s. it has not let me down. she gives to it and even sets her head for me. GREAT THING TO HAVE FOR GAMERS!!! has to be the best thing i put my money in to!!

My horse works well in the little s rope nose band. I thought that I would graduate him to the leather nose band. He has earned the extra level of ease of pressure that this nose band offers!

Do you sell just the leather nose part? I am looking for a replacement nose only.

BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately we do not have just the nosepiece available.
Wondering how it performs. Likes/dislikes. Type of horse used on?

BEST ANSWER: Thr leather is definatly cheap leather. I use it occasionally (once a week) on my small quater horse(14.2). I use it to do regular arena work, but plan to use it as on my gaming bridle. I would definrtly say this would fit a bigger horse of almost any size, as the nose band is almost to long on the last hole. I personally like s shanks a lot more than any other hackamore andwould recommend this one as the everyday arena work headstall, or the occadional hark eork headstall. It also is worth it even tough its cheap:)
