Bosal
I was very impressed with the quality of this bosal. The nose piece is very flexible and soft with my horse showing great response to it. The price is great too.

Nice mechanical hackmore
Can't speak for the durability because I haven't used it yet but it does appear to be well made.

Nice product
Darker in color than I thought it would be otherwise great product. It's early to ask about durability but so far holding up with approximately 30 hours of trail riding.

This Hackamore is well made.
It has a functional design, is not to harsh. Horse is responding well to it.This is excellent for training young horses. Made like one I used yeas ago.

Well Built
Not crazy about hackamores, but figured I'd try it with my 15 yr old since he developed a tender mouth. Worked great and fit great. The braid is soft and flexible. The shanks are long- so with a horse that doesn't respond well you want to be careful so you don't hurt your buddy.

Works well, with just enough "bite" to it without being to harsh.

Hi all, my friend loaned this hackamore to me to try it before buying. Question: should both shanks be moving freely? My friends has one moving right side shank and left shank is frozen/immobile. Is that right?
Janell B on Aug 14, 2017
BEST ANSWER: both shanks should move freely. stop using that one. this is a good quality hackamore. built well and easy to use. i really like the braided leather noseband. it is very flexible and durable. different than others that have a very rigid rawhide band.
horse has a small head will this work?
A shopper on Nov 10, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If your horse has a small head like an Arab horse then this I would say is too big for it. I have a 17 hand very stout gelding and the nose band fits perfect. I tried it on my 14.5 hand mare and the nose band was too big for her and she didn't rein real well either
I have a small draft mare, she's about 16 hands, 1600lbs. She can fit(barely) in a horse sized rope halter. Do you think this would fit her? I am having a lot of trouble finding draft sized hackamores.
A shopper on May 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: this fits a larger headed horse better than a smaller head. the nose band measures 11 1/4 inches from braided end to braided end and the bar measures 5 1/4 inches long. this is a nice hackmore and has the ability to conform to a bigger head because the noseband is so flexible. the only constriction size wise for you is the length of the noseband. you could cut the bottom bar off and put a bigger curb chain on to help widen the size at the bottom. this is a good quality and i have seen the exact one at tack shops for $35-$40.
How long is the shank?
