    Great every day bit
Nice bit been using this type for years & for the price, can't beat it. Nice when you don't need a harsh bit or switching over from snaffle.

    A+ all the way.
Bought 2 and all my horses love them.Just bought 2 more. My son in law got one of mine for his wired walker, not the same horse anymore.

    Love this bit!
I had this bit years ago and it walked off somewhere, so I had to reorder it. I LOVE it! It's perfect for those horses that prefer a jr cowhorse type bit but need s little something for anxiety or boredom. My mare has a sensitive mouth and rides good in a jr cow, she plays with the bit and chews on it once in awhile. This bit keeps her from chewing but you can feel her playing with the rollers. It's s great bit. It's milder then it looks!

This is my "Go To" Bit!
I have used this bit on ALL of my horses, except my draft, didn't come big enough...darn it! I absolutely love everything about it. I have yet to find a horse that didn't respond well to it! All of my horses have a moist mouth, playing with the copper rings...seem less nervous in stressful situations...are very light and responsive. I am NOT heavy handed and never have to be with this bit! I have turned so many people on to this bit, I should get a commission! Buy one, you won't be disappointed! And look how much money you are saving! Have a Blessed Day!

It was okay but didn't knock my socks off. Had a small flaw.
It had a small crack in the decorative trim that left a sharp edge. I probably could have filed the edge down and it would have been perfectly usable, but I ordered this bit with 4 others. Out of the 4 I ordered, one was great, this one was so-so, and the other two weren't even the same as in the item description. So since I had two bits to return anyway, I returned this one as well.It would have been perfectly useable with a couple rasps of a nail file, but I didn't want to do that on a brand-new bit. But if the rest of my order would have fine, I would have just kept this bit and filed down the sharp spot.Again, it was the decorative trim on the outside of the shank, so it wouldn't have hurt the horse, but I wouldn't have wanted the horse to rub his head against anything (especially me!) with a sharp edge on his bit.I'm sure it would have been a nice bit otherwise.

This is an awesome bit for a nervous horse . I re- train a lot of ex-race horses . The rollers on this bit keep them calm .

Great control for a horse who is alittle "hard mouthed" or stubborn, without being cruel. Also a great training tool because it breaks in 2 places instead of one, giving the young horse a better feel for what you are asking it to do.

    Response
After thinking it was her teeth, which always resulted in not being, it is just that my Russian Arab is very picky about her bits. I thought I would try this one out as she is not responding as well to the others I have tried on her for gaming (gone through a few). After introducing this one, she was slobbering and chomping on it and boy can we do those turns so much smoother and tighter. She is loving this bit, very happy horse. She responds so nice to this bit all it take is a little taps with the fingers and we are off. The price was GREAT, saved a bundle doing it this way...wish I found this site sooner...Lol.

Great reviews, and have a friend with a nervous horse who I feel can completely benefit from this bit. Especially at this cost, can't hurt to try.

Wanted to try something different and less severe then the regular argentine. I heard the roller gives the horse something to play with.

I want to try a new kind of bit. The reviews were great. When people write reviews they are happy with the product. When I am happy about a product I send in a review.

Works well for my horse. Also, the three rings in the picture are separate, not one big one.

how do you use a curb chain with this bit?
    patty g on May 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I attach mine to the middle loop. But I'd research it online.Maybe it depends on what you are wanting out of it.I thought that this didn't look so harsh but with the shank gave a little more control and plus the rings would give horse something to play with.I'm not a professional or horse trainer, everybody has so many opinons on bridles, bits.I like it but I just have backyard horses.
Do you use a curb chain with this bit?
    Susan H on May 19, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, a soft leather one should suffice. It would attatch to the top rings, the same holes as the bridle hangs it from. You can use the lower or middle rings for rein attachment, depending on your horses level of training. The curb strap would not come into play is reins are on the middle rings, only when reins are on the lowest rings.
    should you use bit guards?
    NOELLE D on Sep 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: My horse does not mind the sides. They are larger than they look in the picture, but he responds to leg pressure and not so much the bit.
Does the mouthpiece slide up the shanks like a gag bit?
    lorie s on Mar 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It does, but I wouldn't consider it a gag bit. There is only about an inch of movement. What I can tell you about this bit is, I absolutely love it. It is a mild bit, but I have yet to use it on a horse that didn't respond to it. I love this bit so much that I order 2-3 at a time when I order them because I wind up giving them to people to try and they never give them back! I would highly recommend this bit!
How wide is this bit? i need wider than 5"
    Patti on Oct 7, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This fits my arab and morgan perfect, but not my large paint quarter horse, as he needs on larger than 5". Sorry it is not wider than 5inches.
what is the length of the side bars?
    A shopper on Sep 3, 2014
    BEST ANSWER: 6-1/2" long cheeks
