So helpful!
my big guy needs a little extra push with the crop in warm-up but once he gets going I don't need it as much so this product works great for us! Normally I ride by myself and would drop my crop and then have to dismount to pick it back up if I end up needing it again. Or had to hold it which can be quite annoying at times.

Neat product!
This thing is so neat! I think it's awesome. My horse is very sensitive to whips and crops, which makes it difficult to ride with one in my hand. This product puts the crop out of sight and out of mind until needed. I just clip it to my half chaps and it stays put. I've ridden and walked around the barn with it and it has yet to fall off. My only negetive about this product is the quality. It's made out of plastic, which could easy break. It would hold up better if it was made out of a metal. Also, the price is a bit to high for this small piece of plastic.

Slip Clip
It fell off multiple times, leaving me searching through the sand to find it. But that was only when I was walking with it on. It is GREAT for riding with. It doesnt come of while posting, or cantering, though I suggest you keep your crop in your hand if your jumping. Just dont walk around with it on.

Slips off easily
Like a previous reviewer said, the product does not stay on the boot well. You have to pull the whip perfectly straight up to get the clip to stay on the boot. But in a real life training situation, you have only a few seconds to get the whip out which usually involves drawing the whip at a slight angle. Even pulling too hard straight up will cause it to unclip from the boot but remain clipped to the whip. Anyways you look at it, too aggressive of a pull will cause the clip to dislodge. Unless your in a manicured ring to make this clip easier to find when it falls off, you may end up losing $10.

Not very usefull
This product might be OK for the ring. I trail ride and it's difficult to remove your whip/crop without the whole assembly coming out. If you travel through brush it will come right off. I wanted something to carry my crop other than sliding it into my boot and thought this might work, it doesn't.

just great
This was a great product to have. It was perfect for my stubborn pony. He used to freak when he saw the whip coming his way. But know it is so much easier to ride him!!!

When dismounting my school horse, I don't want to scare the horse by dropping it or losing/forgetting it at school as I have done

I think this will be a great tool.

I seldom need my whip so I don't want to carry it in my hand (I'm not very good with it). This looks like a great way to carry in case I should need it when riding or when I'm out in the pasture and want to fend off other horses when fetching mine.

Does this work on non tall riding boots?
Emily M on Dec 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: not at all. It doesn't work that well on tall boots either.
Does this work with ankle boots/ cowboy boots?
Emily M on Jan 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes. It should work for that but if you go through thick brush, be careful because the branches and brambles could knock the whip off of the clip
