Don't know what I'd do without this!!!
My ultra high-withered TB mare needed this! I have just worn one out (it lasted 18 months riding 4-5 times per week) so I got a new one right away. It's great! I don't know how I'd ever find a saddle to fit her without this item! I still use the old one under her bareback pad (for my comfort!) as a little cushion betwen her spine and my...parts. WONDERFUL!

Love It!
My thoroughbred lost some weight, causing his withers and spine to be more prominent and my saddle to not give him enough wither clearance. This front lift pad lifted my pommel up and there is now plenty of room between my saddle and his withers without throwing off the balance of the saddle and we are both happy!

awesome lift pad
Both of my older horses have lost muscling between the wither & top of the scapula. This pad perfectly fills those voids and therefore make their saddles(one western & one English) fit much better. Both horses feel more comfortable now under saddle.Glad I found these to use for them.

Finally something that works!
My horse was starting to get fussy when we rode and short strided. I tried using towels under the front of the saddle, but they just compressed - this works great!

Great Pad!
This pad is nice, comfortable and will have many years on it! The one small thing i dislike about this pad is it is flimsy but it is nice under the saddle. I highly recommend this product :)

I highly recommend this pad for a horse who has lost some muscle mass on his back.
This pad provided just enough padding and lift to make my horse's saddle fit after a prolonged recovery. It is a light weight dense pad. Initially, the pad didn't want to open and lay flat on his back, but the weight of the saddle quickly took care of that issue. I didn't know which product would work best, so I purchased the felt pad, wool pad, and this Wintec Comfort Saddle Pad with Lift. I quickly discovered the other two pads were too thick for my purpose. I plan to buy a second Wintec Comfort Pad with Lift for my older Arab. It does what it claims at a great price.

Wonderful Item,
My Daughters saddle was pinching the mares withers due to the muscle she has built up. Can not afford a new saddle so we tried this front riser and it work perfectly, daughter and horse are very happy now.

This product is a wonderful way to provide comfort for your horse
i have used this pad under my roping type western saddle on two of my horses that have higher withers to lift a bit in front so as not make them sore and it works wonderfully. it is easy to clean with a damp sponge and i love it. i would highly recommend it to those of you that may have a saddle that looks too low for you high withered horse.

Definitely worth it!
Only had this a couple weeks, so not sure about the durability, but I already see extreme improvement in my high withered Thoroughbred. Very pleased!

I have a 9 year old Arabian mare and we do cross country should I get a front or back one?
A shopper on Aug 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: It depends on where your saddle is not fitting. The pad with the rise in the front is made for when you horse is more narrow at the withers than your saddle and you want to pad up the withers. Padding in the back, I assume is for when the saddle fits at the withers but then goes "downhill" and you need something to raise it in the back.
Does this pad go over or under the regular saddle pad?
A shopper on Jul 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I put a quilt pad on the bottom(next to my horse), then the comfort saddle pad and then a thin fleece pad over the comfort pad. Previously I put one like it next to the saddle and the fleece next to my horse. I guess the answer is that I wouldn't put this next to my horse, I'd be worried that the saddle would rub where it doesn't make contact with the pad.
When using this pad do people usually use another pad with it and place the wintec lifter pad in between the normal pad and the saddle or directly on the horses back?
skweeke on Sep 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I use another pad with this one. A full size pad contour pad. I place this one between the saddle and the full size pad.
Hi. Can you tell me how thick this pad is in the front?
STEPHANIE O on Dec 15, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I would say the part with extra padding is about 3/4". It is firm enough to support, but soft enough that it doesn't create much bulk. I bought it to use on an older horse, but also use it on another that my saddle was a but wide for. Love it. Very handy.
