have used Wintec girths for years - love them
Was looking for a dressage girth for my Percheron draft. This is not quite long enough. Will use it for other horses, and wait for Wintec to make a longer one.
Great looking girth
I unfortunately will have to wait to try I mistakenly ordered the wrong size but from appearance and opening the girth it looks to be of great quality :-)
Wrong size
Disappointed wrong size so buying a extender. Looks nice. I think I should have gotten something better priced. But decent overall
Great cinch.
This is the third Wintec cinch I've purchased over the past 20 years. They don't wear out I've had to get different sizes because I've changed Wintec saddles or I've got a different horse. My horses seem very comfortable with these cinches and they've never pinched.
dressage girth
I bought this dressage girth a year & half ago. I took the 20 in girth cause my horse was thin. Now i have to get a larger one because she got swelling of the old one because she gained a lot more muscles . I like this girth it is easy to handle and is elastic.
Nice girth
This is a very nice girth. It's easy to clean, and I think my horse likes it, too!
Great product
I've had mine for a few years and use it regularly. I prefer it to the more expensive ones I have purchased. It fits great, much more durable, and is easy to clean.
This product is soft
I just started using this product for the past 3 days. It seems to be durable. We will see how it lasts. Although this Wintec product has been recommended to me by a saddle fitter, so it should stand up to daily wear and tear.
Good Product for the Price
I got this girth a couple of weeks ago for my new dressage saddle. It matches the black saddle and is very easy to clean after riding. Not yet sure how it will hold up, but my friend has one that she has had for a couple of years and it is still in working order. I usually get leather girths but decided to give this one a try.
Loved it in the beginning...
This girth worked great for the first couple of years. Then my horse started to get girthy. Upon inspecting the girth I initially found nothing wrong until I compared it with another one of the same type that hadn't been used nearly as much. The neoprene was much softer and more cushy on the newer girth. The girth had gotten harder and flatter after use and now the stitches on either side of the center elastic piece were poking through causing uncomfortable pressure. If only this girth were designed with the elastic at the ends, this would not be an issue. Since it has become one, though. I will not be buying this girth again.
Wintec Girth
This girth is great. It is easy to clean, comfortable for my horse and so easy to tighten without discomfort. I would recommend it particularly for daily use

I'm new in the dressage world. I have a saddle, but I'm unsure what size girth to buy for my daughter's Quarter Horse. How do you measure or know?
BEST ANSWER: Put the saddle on your horse and measure from the middle hole in the billets on the right, under the horse, then to the middle hole in the billets on the left, like where the girth would go. Whatever number you get, that is the length of girth to buy.

Is there a way to tuck in the extra billet length on this girth?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, you can easily tuck in 3-4" on both sides of this girth. Keeper loops are already built in to the elastic straps.

Yes, you can tuck it right into the upper layer of the girth.
No there is not... there are dressage girth’s that do.

My horses uses a 52 inch regular English girth. What would the comparable size for dressage girth?

BEST ANSWER: If you are Converting Between Long and Dressage Girth Lengths and you know your horse's girth size and you need to switch between a long and a short girth, add or subtract 20 inches. For example, if you use a 48 inch girth with your jumping saddle, you should try a 28 inch girth with your dressage saddle.
