Is a dressage pad long enough (under the fenders) to be used with this saddle?
TOM & ELISA H on Jan 29, 2016
Best Answer: Yes. It's a great saddle, and I use a dressage pad under mine, as well as a 100% wool pad that I use when I ride the trails and carry saddlebags. I have a friend who lives in Las Cruces who has the same saddle but two years older than mine, and she uses a half sized dressage but wishes she had bought the full one. If you'd like pix, send me a pm on fb, and I'll send you a couple so you can see how the saddle fits the pads.

I cannot decide what size saddle in the Wintec Australian stock saddle would fit me best. I have ridden in a 17 inch English which I loved, and a 16 inch western which is a bit big so far. What would you suggest, m or l? 5'6 140lbs

What type of stirrup leathers can you use on this saddle--looks like regular leathers do not work. Also will a dressage girth work or does this take a special girth?
Trudy O on Dec 6, 2014
Best Answer: I bought Wintec's Webbers 28" and they're perfect. Easy to attach. I'm 5'3" and the length of these Webbers is perfect for me. I bought a dressage girth, and I cannot remember exactly the brand, but it's got nice wool covering its entire length and extends beyond the buckles so that the animal never feels the rub of the buckle. You can look at the pix of this saddle to see the length of the girth ties. They're long, so you should measure girth size with that info in mind. I ordered my saddle first and put it on my animal's back so that I could get the right girth size. I absolutely love this saddle and all the extras I bought. I wrote a review for this saddle on horse.com's page, and if you go there, I think I included the name of the girth. Good Luck. Barbara Gorzycki in Silver City, NM
