Isoxsuprine is prescription medication for horses used in the treatment of navicular syndrome (navicular disease). Isoxsuprine hydrochloride causes the dilation (enlargement) of blood vessels to improve blood flow to the hoof. Isoxsuprine is in a class of drugs called vasodilators.

Isoxsuprine Tablets contain the active ingredient, isoxsuprine hydrochloride. Isoxsuprine is used to treat navicular syndrome (navicular disease), a hoof-related problem in horses. Isoxsuprine causes the dilation (enlargement) of blood vessels.

What should I do if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, give it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to the regular schedule. Do not give two doses at once.
What is the most important information I should know?
Navicular disease can be very difficult to treat. To achieve the most effectiveness, the medication must be given as directed.
Who should not take it?
Not for use in horses hypersensitive (allergic) to isoxsuprine. Do not use in horses who are bleeding or have recently foaled. The safety of Isoxsuprine in breeding, pregnant or lactating horses has not been determined.
What side effects may be seen when taking Isoxsuprine Tablets?
Side effects are uncommon, but may see an increased heart rate. If your horse experiences an allergic reaction to the medication, signs may include facial swelling, hives, scratching, and sudden onset of diarrhea, shock, seizures, pale gums, cold limbs, or coma.
How is it stored?
Store in a tight, light-resistant, childproof container at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
What should I do if I know of or suspect there has been an overdose?
If you know or suspect your horse has had an overdose, contact your veterinarian immediately.

You must call us at 1.888.653.0026 to obtain a Return Authorization Number (RA#) and shipping instructions. Include a copy of the original invoice with your return and write your RA# visibly on the outside of the shipping package and on the packing slip.
