Merial ULCERGARD for Horses

=Does your horse seem "off"? It could be stress or ulcers, caused by radicals fluttering in the horse’s body. Clinical symptoms of stomach ulcers include poor appetite, loose stools, poor coat, and low performance. Merial ULCERGARD suppresses the acid that horses produce when they are stressed, which can lead to ulcers and colic. Its main ingredient, Omeprazole, is an acid-pump inhibitor that suppresses acid production, stopping pain and discomfort before they occur. One dose of Merial ULCERGARD per day for 28 days effectively prevents the onset of ulcers in horses exposed to stressful conditions. It can also be used short-term when you know your horse is going to be put into a stressful situation, like travel. Just start a few days before departure and continue for a few days after.

Directions for Use:
Horses less than 600 lb.: Consult your veterinarian for dosage
Horses 600-1200 lb.: 1 dose per day (as marked on syringe)
Horses over 1200 lb.: 2 doses per day

Caution:
ULCERGARD can be used in horses that weigh at least 600 lb. Safety in pregnant mares has not been determined. Not for use in humans. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children. In case of ingestion, contact a physician.
