Based on Circle Y's saddle fitting experience, they have introduced this bridge pad to accommodate a horse with a back that is either dropped or swayed. It's available in two widths.  This bridge pad is not a full pad; it is a smaller pad to fit under a normal full size pad. The 3/4" would be for a horse with a moderate sway back; the 1" bridge pad would be for a more severe sway back. It's designed to fit under your regular saddle pad and is made with memory foam allowing the gaps to be filled between the horse and saddle. This provides a much more comfortable saddle fit for the horse because it will disperse the rider's weight more evenly.  Encased in cotton spandex for easy care.

It works!
If you have a horse that's getting a bit sway back, do the old guy a favor and use this to fill in the void space under that saddle.

Circle Y Bridge Pad
Pad is helpful, but saddle is really too wide for my horses! I will use this pad when I get proper-fitting saddle. Thank you!

Not the Solution in my Situation
Although I am highly disappointed in this product, I must admit that the pad its self may not be completely at fault. I have a mare that is slightly swayback and really wide at the shoulders. I was hoping this pad would give just enough support to lift the saddle along her back and relieve the pressure from her shoulders. Although I ordered the thicker 1" pad, it did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. The memory foam offers little to no support, it mushes down to paper thin with minimal pressure. It might serve a purpose as a gap filler but I think the claim of dispersing the riders weight more evenly is false. The small size also makes it very difficult and awkward to position when saddling and ensure it stays in the correct place. Wasn't the fix for me, wishing there were more reviews to guide me through the decision process so I figured I'd add my 2 cents and maybe prevent someone else from making the same mistake. Also, feeling robbed for paying nearly $70!

Swayback pad that does not stay in place
perhaps this would be an ok product if it were VENTED and had some way of attaching say.. VELCRO to a regular pad. Will not stay in place long enough to even cinch up! crawls to the back, could taper more on ends as well. impossible to keep clean and foam smashes totally flat. fills in space maybe but adds no extra support. not happy with this product at all. going back to reinsman flex pad and shims or a reinsman sway back pad which i could have bought for just a few dollars more. Circle Y name makes this way more expensive than it's worth
