Two very long Az seasons with my young stallion, going on our third! They are practically indestructible!! Better then fly sheets and horses do not sweat under them

I bought two of these blankets. I read the reviews and a couple suggested to get a bigger size. I did get two inch bigger for both and it worked out fine. Both blankets fit. I bought one for my paint who sunburns and the other for a black horse to keep him dark so we'll see how it goes. Much better fit than the lycra blanket covers the cheeks! No more sunburn cheeks!!!! I don't know how the duribilty will be, because it's not sunny enough yet to leave them on.

love this sheet. it fits my horse great, feels soft and stays put when he rolls or lays down. great price too!

This had such great reviews on standing up to the heat and being durable against turnout, I'm extremly dissapointed, my horse had it on for a solid 2 weeks and sweated with it on regardless of the temperature also roled a few times in it and has broken all the straps, -1 on being durable and doube -1 on being breathable

Quality is great, fits great, but with this climate my mare sweats all the time she is wearing it. Should be great as a late fall blanket.

I read reviews related to this making horse sweat but purchased this as a fly sheet in warm weather. After receiving discovered that the material is tightly woven which may keep flys off but prevents body heat to escape. The fit was good and construction but probably will not use this in warm weather instead use the light sheet I already have. The package did not address this as a fly sheet but as a classic rug. I would have returned but after paying return shippping and restocking was not a cost effective decision. Will keep and use when cool out.

I like this blanket, great for fly protection. Fits my mare nicely and withstands her rolling. I have only found her sweaty when our humidity is unbearable.

I have black warmblood that gets eaten by bugs. I ordered one size smaller based on the reviews on this site and it fits well. I like the sheet, but I can only put it on for a short time. After a few days of wearing the sheet, the hair on his shoulders is starting to rub off. Also it was not as cool as I thought it would be. It was only about 70 degrees and my horse was sweating already.

This sheet is by far exceeded what I thought it would be. Works great and keeps my black horse black, clean, and pest free. My horse is also in pasture 24/7 and this sheet doesn't make him sweat or look miserable.

What first attracted me to these sheets was the UV protection. I have two geldings, one solid black the other a black tobiano. So of course coat fading is something I fight all summer long! These sheets have made so much differnce! My boys wear them from about mid-morning to about sunset (most days). They have been wearing them ever since they completely shed out their winter coats. They currently have hardly any coat fading! Awesome fly protection as well! As for the sheets beig too hot? Its been hot here already in 90's in may but I have noticed no sweating. My solid gelding is older now 22 and is quite the "sweater" anytime but with this sheet he hasn't sweated at all . These sheets also seem to be good quality, so far! Yes my boys do roll, lots of mud and grass stains on the sheets to prove it. No rips or tears though!! Only complaint I have is Sheet size runs big, I would advise ordering smaller than what you measure! My tobiano gelding always wears the smallest in anything so I automatically ordered the 69" for him (fits him great) but I measured for my solid gelding and wished I would have gotten a size or two smaller than what I measured.

Sheet stays in place, protects well, doesn't rip easy, and my horse never sweats in it. Great material! My horse rolls EVERY day on BOTH sides. Great sheet for price!

Nice sheets. I use them as a blanket all year long. They are to thick to be used in heat in my opinion. SO I do not use them during the day in the summer. You are better off using a cotton sheet. They are a bit large. The sheet hangs down over the tail and drags the sheet backward causing pressure on the chest. I had the sheets altered to fix that problem. When it comes time to buy more I will buy size smaller. Overall its a good quality sturdy midweight sheet....

I bought these sheets to help keep my horses sweat-free and fly-free during an unforgiving summer. They did great except when the humidity got way too high, over 98 degrees and beyond (112). Now that the temps are cool, I am using this as a means of keeping the horses a bit warmer without using their heavy blankets. It so far has helped in temps dropping to 28 degrees at night. These has held up well, I tend to wash things (every 3-4 days)so there is wear to them. Good product! I hope they last (because of frequent washing) for next year's sun and fly season!

I bought this sheet for my chestnut TB mare who is affected by the heat more than my other horses. Unfortunatly, we must just be too humid as it did not keep her cool at all, in fact, she was drenched when I checked her later. (I did notice less sweat in the non humid heat.) I went back to the regular fly sheet. Now that its cooler I'm using this on my grey TB mare which attracts every fly for miles and it is working great on her. She's very hard on sheets and this one is standing up well.

This site is very helpful for finding everey thing for my special pony the cooler is a little big but thats my fault because i order it a little big (my pony is not done growing)this is a very good quality site and info for any horse owner or any one who wants a horse someday!!!<3

This fly sheet is okay. It sort of slides down my horses side. Also, she has a broad chest, so the front buckles rub against her chest and make it raw. It does keep the flies away, but it makes her sweat! On days when there is no humidity shes okay, but if its really humid out she is a hot, sweaty mess!!

The very first day I used the sheets, it was about 95 degrees out and heat index was 98. My horses stayed sweat-free during turn-out that did not have any shade. I was so impressed when they were brought in to the stables, I smiled. Since then, they have gotten showered upon, which they did sweat under sheet, and in 96 degree with heat index of 110 degrees they did sweat also, no running around, just grazing. I have washed the sheets by front loading machine, incase the fibers of the sheet was clogged from rolling, but this has not helped. I do not know why. I like the sheet. My horses do not object to the sheets at all. But now they are brought in sweaty or has been sweating at some point. The sweating has been less without the sheets though, just without the issue of sun fading of the coat which we are facing. I still do not know why the first day was great and since, not as good. Still, I like the sheet.

I bought this because of the great reviews but am a bit disapointed. The sheet is very nice but runs a little large. Quality wise I like it and it fits very nicely. I will be using it as a fall sheet. As a summer sheet however, it fails miserably. It does keep the flies off great, material is to thick for them to get to her, but heat wise my horse was soaked and warm. The sheet itself was actually cool. Tried it on another horse, she like the fact the large biting flies couldn't get to her, however, in the morning she too was soaking wet and warm. I admit it's been very hot but that's part of the reason I chose this blanket. I won't recommend it as a hot summer sheet, however, would give high marks as a light spring/fall sheet or cooler summer sheet.

I bought this for my gray horse to block uv rays more than as a fly sheet. It is not bad to gather static electricity which is AWESOME! My horse no longer objects when I take it off since he is not getting "bitten" like he was with the previous fly sheet I had.

i bought this sheet from a local tack store and i am very pleased with it (although the one i have has a neck cover attached, otherwise it is exactly the same). my horse reacts badly to fly bites and he gets huge welts. this sheet has kept the flies off of him and when i take the blanket off he doesn't have any welts! this sheet stays in place (even when my horse rolls in it) and fits my horse very well. it is a very good quality fly sheet for a good price. =)

Got a hold of this sheet by accident and glad I did...My grey is dappled like never before and if he can't destroy it...nothing will. I'm buying two more for my other horses!!!!

This blanket is wonderful. I use it all the time. It can be used as a winter liner, fly sheet, show scrim, or a sheet for crisp days down to about 40 degrees. It has withstood a grueling Kansas summer with heat up to 106. My horse Memphis loves it and it keeps him cool no matter what. It doesn't rub or chaf and the hardware is durable. I like the material because it is like a scrim/fly sheet type. The neck hangs a little low but my horse is a Quarter and he is pretty stocky. Everyone in all climates could use this. At shows people ask me if I'm crazy putting a blanket on a horse at 98 degrees but then I just lift it up and ask, "Do you see any sweat?" The white surface makes this a good sheet for darker horses also.

This sheet has helped my thoroughbred gelding from bleaching out any more in the sun. I also love this sheet because it doesn't rub anywhere and he stays nice and cool with it on even when it hits 109 degress outside.

This sheet can replace a fly sheet up to 80 degrees heat. Better than a standard cotton sheet, this Kool Coat is quality made. My wide, long(81") quarter horse hasn't ripped this one yet! He doesn't sweat under it and it makes a great day/night sheet for spring/part of summer/fall weather. Gladly recommend.

This is a great and versatile summer sheet. Generous sizing, great fabric that lasts several seasons. I used these as underwear to keep the insides of all my shetsrugsblankets clean & odor free. Easy to wash.
