I got this for my daughter for Christmas. We bought the matching rainbow halter also, and all of the colors are so much fun. Nice quality rope, not flimsy like some other brands.

Great for anyone that wants some color on their horse! Love how easy the snap is to work with but I find it wears out much faster than bull clips. Either way it's a solid lead rope.

Rainbow lLead Rope
This rope is BEAUTIFUL and I have received many compliments on it! I love it! My horse is a really good boy, but if you have a horse that pulls or bolts the rope feels soft. It doesn't feels as sturdy as other ropes. It works great for me and I am happy with it.
It Worked but Broke....
I had bought it for my friends horse, she's a big girl. And one day she just started freaking out with it on, and the lead rope broke. They have it fixed and now it works really good, it looks great on both of her horses!
I LOVE IT! I got my mom to buy this for my peruvian paso. He 's only 14.3 h but he can still put up a great fight. He looks great in it with he"s matching halter. He sometimes pulls and tries to get away and the lead never broke. It stays strong as can be through the fights with my paso. It works great with the other horse's too. Like my mom's quarter horse he huge. I think he's about 17h. and he was tied up to a fence and he doesn't like water that much. My mom was bathing him and he broke the fence and took off with the lead . When we found him he still had the halter and lead on nothing was broke. We were amazed.
Perfect!
Our horse is large, 17h - So you can imagine when I read that this was easily breakable that I was apprehensive. I figured for the price, it was ok if it didn't work out. I'm glad I went ahead and ordered it. Yes, if you have a horse who will pull and snatch away from you, it may break, but the quality is still nice and it's not thin at all (at least not to our liking). The price is perfect and it's absolutely gorgeous! Will be ordering the halter to match!
Terrible!
I was excited to get a matching lead for my rainbow halter. I don't typically like nylon ropes but I figured it would be cute to match my horse's halter. Second use she pulled away from me hanging onto the rope (not even tied up) and the clamp which holds the snap on came loose and detached from the snap. I had a loose horse. The rope itself is nice and long, but very thin. Pretty wimpy if a horse were to pull on it at all. The color is nice but the quality is terrible. Wouldn't recommend this rope.
Pretty and soft
I saw a review that said the rope they got was hard. Ours is very soft and nice to hold. I'm not sure how durable it would be on a horse that pulled, but on our 17 year old Arabian mare it's just fine. The colors are vibrant and wonderful - the online picture doesn't capture it well.
Awesome Prouduct
I love the flashy colors of the lead and the halter, I am always getting comments on how nice my Quarter Horse looks in it, the lead is soft and so is the matching halter, love it!
Very pretty, but doesn't stand up well to much for
I bought this lead a few years back, planning to use it a couple years down the road. When I finally began to use it, it worked great. Then one day I was taking my 17hh Thoroughbred out to eat some grass, he got spooked, pulled hard on the lead with me also holding, and the buckle and lead part came apart. Luckily he was easy to catch. So, the moral of the story is... it looks great, just don't use it on horses that like to pull.
Okay Lead
This lead is great for a show lead! just not if you use it on your horse 24/7! very pretty! the bad reviews on this page are all people who use the halter and lead 24/7 if you want the colors to last just use it as a show or riding lead! the bolts do not come loose after 9 mo or so of use..... in defense for this lead. Pretty long lasting if you ask me. DONT USE for bathing or leaving out in the sun! or mucky weather not a turn out halter!
Cheaply made you get what you pay for.
One of my lesson students purchased this and the matching halter. The halter looks and works great still to this day. the leadrope broke the second time on her horse. Perhaps if you put a different clamp on it but its cheaper just to buy a quality leadrope. Don't buy it if you plan to use it to tie a horse. It's that simple.
Poor in quality
I bought this product to use when I went to rodeos so my horse stood out. It looks great especially with the matching halter. The problem I had with this product was that the part that held the lead rope and snap together slid lose and there stood my horse with just the snap hooked to the halter. At the same rodeo I witnessed someone with the same lead rope and the same thing happened to theirs, except their horse could not be caught which was very dangerous with nearby roads. So if you buy this I would recommend clamping the metal bracket that holds the lead rope together down tighter if you want your horse to stay where you tie them.
pros and cons .. ?
i love the coloring , and it matches the neon rainbow halter that slt isnt carrying anymore.. but it is terrible quality. it is HARD and not soft when your holding it , and ive had it for only a month now and its fraying. you definately cannot use it for bathing because it will worsen in condition if you have it in water.

Very Cool
Very cool lead rope. The bright colors go with just about any horse or halter, especially with neon halters, like my filly with her hot pink and my husband's gelding in lime green. Easy to find if you leave it out somewhere or if your barn is that black hole that swallows leads and hoof picks!Only one problem, make sure to never leave it sitting out in the sun for a long period of time as the color will fade into a dull gray, fastest affecting the blue and purple. Other than that, no problems at all. Just make sure to pick up after yourself:)
