good saddle
This saddle is very nice looking for the price. Have not used it yet so cannot speak for quality, but it does look very good.

great saddle for the price!
I really thought this saddle would not work for me, when I received it-- it is very very lightweight and has a lot of height to it...After riding in it, I fell in love with it! Right now, I couldn't afford to spend a lot of money on a saddle and it is working out great. Very happy with it.

Most uncomfortable saddle I've ever ridden in
I was extremely disappointed in this saddle. We have several synthetic saddles for lesson saddles and I mistakenly ordered this saddle instead of one of the brands we already have. The first problem I noticed is the metal pieces for the stirrup leathers are far to small & mis-shaped. You cant really adjust the leathers once they are in because the gap isnt big enough; at the same time the bar is so short that if it wasnt so tight the leathers would come off the instant the rider moved their leg. Next issue is that the saddle is built up VERY high. You look like youre sitting on a booster seat (making for very insecure balance, especially on the beginner riders this saddle is aimed at). The seat is more shallow even than most jumping saddles, let along dressage saddles. Again, this makes for a very insecure seat. For such a huge amount of padding, youd think it would be comfy but its rock-hard. It is very cushy on the horses side and the tree seems to have a better shape than most cheap leather saddles. Unfortunately, I didnt end up even pulling it out of the box until after the return period had expired so am stuck with it.

i am an absolute beginner...buying a saddle for school. is this a good pick? thanks

BEST ANSWER: We have to recommend that you check with your school for saddle requirements or suggestions, or with a qualified trainer before you leave for school.
What is the difference between 18R and 18W? I have a 15.1hand Morgan average size and want to make sure I get the right saddle?
Kari D on Nov 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The W means wide and is designed for flatter withered or wider backed horses. An average Morgan would most likely be fine in a regular.
