Great Starter Bridle
Purchased this as a starter because I'm just getting into english. I did not expect much from this considering how cheap it was and I make leather western horse tack for a living so again I wasn't expecting much. However it is a nice bridle! Definitely darker than in the picture and is going to take some time to break in as it is a little stiff but I think it will break in fine. I ordered quarter horse size and was pleasantly surprised that it fit both my large headed quarter horse as well as my cob sized paint.

Made well, difficult to put together! PREFER a true western style bridle!
I ordered this headstall thinking it would be put together already. It is well made, but the leather is VERY stiff! It was VERY difficult to put together, NO INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL! Now, that being said: I do not believe this is a true western-style headstall, due to the nose band. It IS made well, but I do not like it. I purchased a different headstall & will sell this one.

This is a great briddle for price. Looks very nice and great in hunt ring. The brown is not Havana brown thank goodness! Because our saddle is brown like briddle and matched perfect. Have 14.2 hand quarter horse so bought cob size everything fit perfect. Only the throat latch had to punch extra hole in throat latch strap to make longer cause this horse is very fat plus thick in her throat latch. Not briddle makers fault. I just have fat stumpy necked horse! I highly recommend this briddle and for the price ya just can't beat it. I will be ordering another one soon for my regular size horse.

Great, but ....
The bridle is of great quality for the price. The headset was suble enough to be used right away. The reins I had to soak in neatsfoot oil for a few hours, so it would lose the stiffness it had. But that is not my problem with the bridle. The connection for the bit, are a hook inside the bridle, it creates pressure points on the horses head. All bridles I ever owned had the closure on the outside for easy removal of the bit while still on the horse. I was seriously thinking sending it back, because of this, but instead wrapped the hook closure with medical tape so it would not poke my horse. That works since it is a work and training bridle, but it does exclude going to shows in it.Other than the hooks on the inside, it is a great bridle for the price, just wish they would changge the hook close to the ouside, for easy removal of bit and to keep the pressure of the horse created by the hooks.

Love it
For the price, this bridle is fantastic. The color was darker than I'd thought it would be but it still matched my saddle alright. It was a bit stiff but that's expected. Overall, love it. Fits perfectly :)

Good Bridle.
I really like this bridle a lot, but it rubbed on my horses nose a little bit from the noseband so i had to put duct tape on the inside of the noseband, but my horse's nose might just be sensitive, but I like this bridle a lot.

Great bridle!
I love it! I have been using this bridle for about a year and it is awesome! It's a bit stiff, but oiling helped and I have no complaints. NOT a "cheap" bridle and well worth the cost.

Good for the price
Very nice color and stitching detail. The tanning has cracked in some places for me, but doesn't seem to hinder function. Looks great on the horse. I'm sure with a little more time it will break in. Not bad for the price. And honestly, who really asks what brand you use? If you never say, "Ya, it's a Kincade", then no one would ever know the difference.

Great Bridle!
I ordered this bridle in a cob size for my large pony about 2 years ago, and it is still going strong. It is used regularly (3 to 5 days a week, on average), and is still as strong and durable as it was the day I got it. I would definitely recommend this for any rider.

I have a huge headed standardbred 17hand horse so do you think a "warmblood" size would be okay ? He also has an extremely long neck so would the reins also be long enough?
Destiny P on Jul 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The warmblood size is for horses approximately 1100-1500 lbs, if your horse falls into that size range.
Does it come in the same color as pictured?
A shopper on Dec 31, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This item is eligible for purchase in chocolate brown.
Out of those who have purchased this bridle, can someone tell me if it was a definite brown color or if it had a red tinge to it? I can't quite tell by the picture. My gut wants to say more of a milk chocolate color (hence why it's described as chocolate brown)
Speckowind on Dec 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It is more of a chocolate color, very nice bridle set and came oiled and with a little use and some more oil it will e even better. Great purchase ad great price! Can be used for showing or everyday, if your doing A rated shows you might want a different one but other than that matches English leather color very well.
I'm trying to fit a Shetland/Mini cross that is 10.2hh and around 375#. Unfortunately, the mini sizes (when available) is usually too short in the cheeks & browband, and the "pony" sizes are too large for effective hole punched adjustments. Would your pony size possibly fit her?
Joy W on Jan 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Something designed for either a small pony or a mini might work, such as the King Series below. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee fit in advance.

What size does the "note" pertain to regarding measurements, does Kincade offer an actual size chart providing you with the length measure events of each size?
Sarah J on Apr 11, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure it fits pretty true to size I have an Irish sport horse and I got a warmblood size. it fit with room to go up or down. Maybe try emailing Kincaid. This was a very nice bridle especially for the price!
I have a huge headed standardbred 17hand horse so do you think a "warmblood" size would be okay ?
Destiny P on Jul 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The warmblood size is for horses approximately 1100-1500 lbs, if your horse falls into that weight range. The included reins are 54", so you would need to measure from the horse's mouth to your hand position to be sure.
Are the reins plain or with lacings? If they do have lacings, are the lacings plastic or leather?
justmesuzanne on Nov 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Reins have leather lacing not plastic. Good bridle for the price.
