Expensive but worth it
More expensive than many others but worth it. The openings are small and will keep your horse busy for hours. I bought it for my Arab stallion. He uses it all winter. I bought the Hot pink and Lime green. It makes it harder to lose them if they get pulled down and trampled in the mud.

I ordered two to begin with. I loved them so much that I ordered another one just to have on hand. They seem very well made, and it makes both my horses work for their hay. I can fill it up at night and by morning they are still munching away.
Wold highly recommend.

Looked good but didn't last two weeks
I have Haflinger Horses , they are very gentle and I was shocked as to what they did to these bags. They are torn to shreds, I don't mean little holes I mean these bags are done . They are not only torn they have lost their size and are completely stretched out. I purchased "4" that's a lot of money to throw away. So very disappointed in this product. The colors and shape were great when they arrived. I have photos if needed.

Yes I like them but my only problem with them is the draw string(rope) is too heavy. Oh and by the I bought the Purple bags. Think they are over priced.

Perfect net
Smaller holes than regular hay nets to slow down my fast eater. So far he hasn't destroyed it yet, the netting seems to be thicker than your typical hay net. Great net for the price!

I purchased several of these nets in various colors (at the same time). Some nets did not hold up well (miniature horses put holes in netting) I had to mend them with para chord YET others are holding up adequately
(I definitely made sure nets were up high enough so the horses would not get feet stuck in them so I do not know how they got ripped)

Appears to be a well made product
Very easy to fill and will hold probably the 4 to5 flakes. It definitely slows them down, my horse ate none of his hay overnight. The holes are so small I had a hard time pulling any through. I went back to his old hay net.

Haynet
This hay net will definitely slim down horses as they are unable to get the hay out!!! Hay net great as a bouncing ball....

product as represented
I was a bit surprised at how accurate the 1 inch opens are as the product was represented. So far it is working out for my situation- pony on diet-but would caution the future buyer that the openings are small.

Slows down feeding but have mixed feelings
I am not sure how I feel about it yet, it is durable but the strings are a bit short and don't tie well, but snaps fixed that issue. I don't like that I can fill it up at night and they will still have hay in the morning. I mean its Ultra slow feed that's what you get. I solved this by using them during the day and night for all horses and use a regular slow feed or just a regular hay bag for my older mare as she has trouble with the holes and needs weight.

These ultra slow hay nets do slow down my fast eater. The first time she saw her hay bag she trotted around, but now she eats hay just like her best friend and takes her time. I have 4 ultra slow bags.

changing my horse from pallets to hay
Torsten W on Jan 23, 2016
I've used slow feed hay nets for years, I like them & my horses do too. I feed less hay than I did before & also there's less waste. Its a good way to keep hay accessible 24/7 w/o turning them into fat blimps! The horse has to get used to small holes but its really natural for horses to eat by pulling a few wisps at a time instead of gulping big mouthfuls of hay. If the holes aren't small it defeats the purpose of being a slow feeder.

I got one of theses last year and really liked it. I have a black 1 and a purple 1. I can't see the black string when I'm loading up the hay. Thats why I picked a contrasting color

can a person fit a whole 50 lbs bale of hay in one of these nets?
katrina a on Dec 27, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Truthfully I have not used it yet. With the holidays I have not had a chance to change from a slow feed hay net to this one that has even smaller holes. I pulled it out of the bag and it looks like it would fit 2 fat flakes. I feed an orchard grass, 80lb. bales and not the compact bales. I hope this helps? I know that 3 years ago when I went to feeding with slow feed hay nets, my horses felt better by eating slower.
How much hay can you fit into this hay net?
A shopper on Apr 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Okay, here's the long answer. These bags expand over time and usage, once fully expanded I can easily get 20 lbs. (10 flakes) in the Black bags and 23 lbs. (13 flakes) in the Yellow bags. Mind you this is working off a 50 lb/2 strand bale. I have only used the black and yellow bags and the black ones do run slightly smaller.
These bags wear well and are a good value for the money. My only complaint is the draw string doesn't like to stay knotted.
What is the size of the hay bag?
A shopper on Oct 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It fits one flake of hay nicely and you can stuff in more, I would never offer the ulta size to a horse, just ponies mini's to medium size, This is a frustrating nibble bag the holes are tiny, my one welsh 14 hh could figure it out nicely but she takes carrots from children gentle as a lamb. All the other bags I have are the next size up.
Size of holes?
A shopper on Jul 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The holes in this bag are VERY small!! My piggy pony was slowed down significantly! My other horse who is not as aggressive of an water got a bit discouraged by the small holes, and left hay in the bag.
Does this have the little metal rings ? Is it easy to fill ?
Sharisse M on Feb 8, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It does not have the little metal rings, it's made entirely of poly rope. It has a large opening that I find easy to stuff the hay into. We have a large muck tub and I stretch it over the opening and fill it.
what are the dimensions of thses nets?
A shopper on Oct 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: They were only 33" long when delivered, but after using them a few weeks, they measure approximately 23" wide and 41" long. I'm pretty sure they could be a couple inches bigger, though, because I don't have them filled/stretched out all the way.
who manufactures this net?
alice o on Dec 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Well made tight net with a bright good color, I am not sure who makes it but good quality, I use it for a large Welsh pony, small 1 inch holes, a small bag that only holds only 1 flake, perfect size for her or a smaller pony. She had no problem adjusting to the small holes and is very happy to munch during the afternoon.
