Purchased new saddle and it did not come with one
Tonya Dickerson B on Dec 30, 2016
Good idea, when the straps separate the back strap does nothing but swing and disturb the horse.

Bought this because it was cheap, it's still on my saddle after use of a year and 4 months. It has tarnished from sweat, dirt, water, but still functioning.

Good basic connector; much better than the piece of rawhide I was using.

BEST ANSWER: I am unsure of what it is made of because I never un hook my connector. However it holds up very well I've had mine for over 5 yrs and great quality. I hope this helps
