Hope you like alcohol scent
Very strong alcohol odor when spraying. Horses did not like the smell either. Didn't see a big enough difference in fly control to warrant putting up with the nasty smell. Would not purchase again.

Works great. Good alternative to Pyranha
Started using this after my mare developed an allergy to Pyranha fly spray (huge welts were appearing the day after I sprayed her every time). This works great, and so far - after about 6 months of use - no sign of any allergic reaction. Also has a fairly pleasant smell.

Great product
I have used about every fly spray in the market. I have found that none of them work as they say. None of them last 14 days without having to spray again. But this one is sort of sweat proof, and it lasts a little longer. None of these sprays are completely insect resistant except when you spray them. Once they dry you will always see a fly or two on your horse, but not as many as with other sprays that are totally worthless. I stick to this product.

For me, this replaces Endure.
I have used Endure fly spray for years, but after trying the "Sport" formulation of Absorbine UltraShield I am switching loyalties. The UltraShield Sport seems to repel better/longer for us, in our usually-dry desert clime. We annually have a fight to fight huge fly explosions during our meager summer monsoon season. As compared to Endure, the UltraShield Sport seems to be equally good at killing the clouds of flies, and better at repelling the nasty little devils. Two thumbs up.

Awesome!
I received this product in my May heart to horse box. It works so well! It lasts forever, and doesn't sweat off in the rides. I love it!

Works on Deer Flies!
I tried Sport the other evening, and it actually repelled the deer flies for my entire 45 minute ride. I've never had a product work this well specifically on deer flies.

how often do you need to apply the spray?

BEST ANSWER: I keep my horse in a large natural dry land pasture (semi desert - south central Colorado). If untreated, the horse is plagued by gnats and deerflies and develops sores on her chest and between her legs where the gnats seek moisture from her sweat. Surprisingly West Nile is also a concern here. I have been spaying troubled areas (lightly) and the rest of her body (sparingly) with UltraShield Green once a day and a little lighter application to the same areas with UltraShield Score every 2 or 3 days. My application plan/schedule is based only on my sense of what appears to be needed and the belief that the UltraShield Score ingredients reside and remain active as advertised. The treatment seems to work. The gnat induced sores that she was developing before I started the treatment about a month ago are gone and the horse seems to be less stressed by flying insects.
