Prozap(R) War Paint Insecticide Paste War Paint(R)requires very small amounts to kill and repel flies. Small amounts of War Paint are placed on the horse only where flies tend to congregate. War Paint, when applied to the horse, attaches to the hair of the horse and slowly releases the insecticide over a period of weeks. Full body fly control does not usually occur until 1 to 2 days after the application. The reason for this is it takes awhile for the formulation to release the insecticide onto the horse's hair. Dogs : Cover animal's eyes with hands. With a firm stroke to get a proper spray mist, spray head, ears and chest until damp. With fingertips, rub into face around mouth, nose and eyes. Then spray neck, middle and hind quarters, finishing legs last. For best penetration of spray to the skin, direct spray against the natural lay of the hair. On long-haired dogs, rub your hand against the lay of the hair, spraying the ruffled hair directly behind the hand. Make sure spray thoroughly wets ticks.
